Director Of Engineering And Programs

Purpose:

Reports to the Senior Director of Technical Services and is responsible for the management and oversight of the Engineering and Maintenance programs which include engineering, aircraft appearance, and maintenance programs (CRJ-900, EMB-175, B737), and has the overall responsibility for the reliability of the Mesa fleets.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for coordinating technical data for the fleet to direct the modification and repair of aircraft and systems.

• Responsible for the overall reliability program of Mesa fleets, working closely with the OEM to incorporate reliability improvements into the CAMP as required

• Ensures planned maintenance performed at Mesa is within the FAA/OEM-approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.

• Ensures communication with all Maintenance Departments in the identification of chronic aircraft and recommends corrections and troubleshooting.

• Works closely with other departments in the planning and execution of airworthiness directives, service bulletins and service letters, and SB's

• Responsible for the modification status and configuration of the Mesa fleets.

• Coordinates with other departments involved in related responsibilities.

• Represents the company to the FAA, NTSB, and other internal and external organizations regarding specific aircraft issues.

• Performs other required and/or assigned duties to meet position and departmental objectives.
