POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Employee Relations will lead and direct the activities of the assigned Employee Relations team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide leadership, training and resources to assigned team.

  • Work with Leadership on applicable HR-focused projects to align with Company goals.

  • Maintain a positive work environment through championing team member communication and direct management relations, open door policies, and prompt resolution of team member issues and concerns.

  • Collaborate cross-functional teams to ensure that any policy or process changes are understood by all and are communicated well to impacted employees.

  • In partnership with department leadership, create engaging and rewarding work environments.

  • Assist the senior management team in developing effective HR strategies for applicable area(s) of HR focus.

  • Maintain policies and procedures through the Employee Handbook, and direct contact with the employee relations representatives, managers, and Team Members.

  • Monitor compliance of all employment laws and coordinate with legal counsel.

  • Evaluate, select and manage relationships with third party vendors or service providers as appropriate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain a work environment where employees can thrive through championing team member communication and direct management relations, open door policies, and prompt resolution of team member issues and concerns.

  • Create engaging and rewarding work environments in partnership with department leadership.

  • Advise and train managers and supervisors in employee relations best practices and strategies for managing employee related issues.

  • Deliver Employee Relations coverage at all assigned locations and shifts.

  • Oversee thorough investigations to ensure they comply with corporate policies, procedures, and federal/state laws.

  • Collaborate with legal counsel in all employee relation topics.

  • Ensure that confidential and appropriate records of all inquiries, complaints, allegations and investigations are properly maintained.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that any policy or process changes are communicated well to all employees.

  • Ensure all HRIS business processes are addressed accurately and on time.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Employee Relations: Understands and demonstrates knowledge of rules, principles, and best practices related to employee conduct, performance, and dispute resolution.

  • Communicates Effectively: Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences.

  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.

  • Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • Ten years of experience working in Human Resources.

  • Four years of experience leading teams.

  • Experience over managing policies, procedures, and/or performance management.

  • Ability to successfully consult and positively influence multiple stakeholders at the same time.

  • Experience working in a complex, multi-shift, multi-location manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

WHAT WILL HELP

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.

  • Investigations and Policy Enforcement Experience.

  • Communication and Change Management Support Experience.

  • Process, Documentation, and Records Management Experience.

  • Experience working in Human Resources in a multi-state/multi-location environment.
