General Responsibilities In conjunction with the Director of Educational Services # Elementary is responsible for the development and implementation of Melmark#s clinical, educational, administrative, and operational services within the school setting. Collaboratively oversees the development and implementation of the individual education process and the educational curriculum for elementary aged students.

Ensures that all education employees maintain clinical standards of excellence with educational practices.# Responsible for the clinical supervision, evaluation, and professional development of all education employees. Responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of new education employees. Coordinates with ancillary service team leads (i.e., OT, PT, SLP) to ensure delivery of ancillary services within the school setting.. Coordinates with healthcare professionals to ensure access to necessary medical services within the school setting.

Basic Qualifications Education/Training:# #Doctoral degree in Psychology, Special Education, or ABA preferred. Minimum of Master#s Degree. Certifications/Licensure:

BCBA Certification required. Licensed as a Psychologist, School Psychologist, Special Educator, or Principal Certification preferred. #Successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention. Skill(s):# Knowledge of regulatory standards promulgated by Pennsylvania Department of Education (PA Code Title 22, Chapter 14), Pennsylvania Approved Private Schools (PA Code Title 22, Chapters 51 and 59), and Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (PA Code Title 55, Chapter 3800). Knowledge of federal standards for educational rights (IDEA). Demonstrated background in applied behavior analysis and clinical application of applied behavior analysis with individuals with acquired brain injury, intellectual/ developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.

Experience working with individuals with significant challenging behaviors. Experience with research design and methods. Experience:# Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of experience in clinical serviced delivery and supervision within public or approved private school settings, and in implementing evidenced-based procedures for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism and challenging behaviors. Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in program management, supervising, and training staff, skills in human resources, budget management and running residential, educational or clinical systems.
