We are looking for an influential leader who drives revenue, profit and operational performance from a customer-centric perspective for Harley-Davidson. This Director of eCommerce is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional brand, marketing, business insights, finance, logistics and IT partners to lead innovation and process improvement initiatives across eCommerce.

This is what you'll do:

  • Align with our omni-channel strategies to deliver a superior digital shopping experience across our owned storefronts as well as in the marketplace.

  • Drive online retail sales performance and commerce experience globally, in both owned storefronts and on marketplaces.

  • Lead all aspects of the eCommerce business, including business planning, content strategy and development, online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics and web technology.

  • Partner with digital marketing, brand marketing, channel marketing, marketing communications and IT to explore and develop new online initiatives and opportunities designed to meet and exceed the needs of the customer and eCommerce revenue goals.

  • Establish web metrics to ensure best practices and measurability of digital channels, design reporting processes, and drive performance improvements through testing, tracking and analysis of data.

  • Provide direction, manage, motivate and coach your team.

Education Required:

This position requires a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Technology or a related field.

To be successful in this role you must be able to lead through ambiguity and collaborate with multiple stakeholders. You must be an excellent communicator and you must be proactive, a self-starter and be able to thrive within a fast-paced environment.

Are you qualified?

All applicants who choose to apply for this opportunity should be prepared to demonstrate at least 10 years of eCommerce experience with 5 years of experience leading an eCommerce team.

  • Curious and entrepreneurial leader that stays abreast of industry trends, able to set a vision, orchestrate a process to execute on that plan, and influence and inspire others to believe.

  • Demonstrated track record of increasing eCommerce revenues in an omni-channels business model

  • Strong website and consumer analytic skills, including the ability to link site design and features to strategic objectives and the ability to use the data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.

  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to communicate across the entire organization

  • Creative, with an eye to develop new and innovative solutions

  • Strong team player, able to work successfully across multiple business functions.

This position is also responsible when appropriate for measuring and communicating employee engagement and working with leaders and HR team to implement strategies to enhance engagement. Builds the Badger Meter brand externally and internally helping to attract and retain top talent. Reports to the Vice President - Human Resources and is a key member of the human resources leadership team. Leadership and Employee Development/Succession Planning • Creates and administers Talent Review process which focuses on building bench strength to meet current and future business needs. The process will provide ongoing assessment of organizational talent needs and development of key talent. Develops organizational competencies for leaders and employees that align with business objectives and cultures. Integrates these competencies into HR programs ie hiring, performance management and development. Provides the process, tools and coaching to HRBPs and leaders to support the creation of robust development plans that meet succession and development needs of key talent. Monitors the development of the company’s key talent. Identifies and develops company-wide or individual learning initiatives that cost effectively focus employee development toward achievement of both business and personal career goals. Conduct training needs assessment as appropriate, recommending and implementing programs to support key skill areas. Responsible for the use and content of the Learning Management System. Partners with sales management and applicable HRBP in creation of sales competency development, staff assessment, development and training plans. Monitors effectiveness. Leads the development of career paths to support employee development and key talent retention. Performance Management • Oversees the continued roll out and enhancement of a global performance management process that focuses employee's efforts on the achievement of business goals and attainment of requisite skills/competencies to sustain profitable growth. This includes partnering with HRIS and HRBPs in the continued improvements of the Workday performance management process. Monitors the effectiveness of the process and makes improvements. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Oversees the talent acquisition process to ensure the best qualified candidates are attracted to Badger Meter and are selected. Measures success and makes appropriate improvements. Oversees the continued building and integration of the Badger Meter employee value proposition. This includes integrating in the recruiting and selection process. Oversees the orientation and onboarding process ensuring positive employee experience and retention. Measures success and makes appropriate improvements. Provides the training and resources, tools and process to leaders to assist them in identifying strong talent for their roles and effective onboarding to support strong performance and retention of employees Ensures process meets employment laws. Ensures appropriate records are maintained and AAP process is complete, communicated. Monitors goals and improvements.
