Job Description:

At Cardno, we need to harness the power of our knowledge and drive change to meet the current and future needs of our clients and communities. We are building a Digital Eco-system that will give us a competitive advantage in the marketplace for that reason we are seeking a Director of Digital Innovation.

This position will report dually to the America's CEO and Chief Digital Officer, be based out of Denver, CO office, and support the America's region.

Strategically operating at the leadership levels of the organization, this person will be the visionary to leverage Digital with the goal of smarter, faster, more efficient solution for our clients. This position will also closely partner with other Cardno offices establishing a digital and innovation strategies for Cardno's front office/client facing solutions globally.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Cascading the global digital strategy for the USA business with a defined roadmap and digital implementation plan that is prioritized and has funding approved.

Support the build of a digital first culture and support the organization to raise its digital maturity to benefit efficient working and improved client experiences.

Participate in developing thought leadership to be included in the digital academy and leveraged externally through social media channels to raise Cardno profile.

Be an external presenter in Cardno digital capability and show case key use cases, again raising Cardno profile in the USA.

Identify where we can win further revenue with the support of key client engagements using digital solutions and support the bid teams with proposals to include digital solutions.

Support the development of a global digital ROI tool to identify clear benefits from utilizing digital solutions on a client engagement.

Identify and support the build of at least 2 new digital solutions that can be developed, IP / patented and sold to the market as new growth products.

Support the build of a USA data lake and harness all the data across the US business that can be used to further extend value with predictive models.

Support the build of enterprise wise digital solutions in conjunction with the Global CDO in line with client experiences, wants and needs.

Work with strategic partners (ecosystems) to drive innovation design and development and harness adoption at a fast pace.

Support the development of global digital marketing documents.

Identify key processes in the USA business that can be re-engineered and made more efficient via the use of RPA.

Manage vendor relationship to ensure that Cardno are being supported with development to drive future state roadmaps in Digital Capability.

Work with areas of the business that undertake risk management reporting a build a sustainable platform and dashboards to drive managed services revenue.


  • Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in the field of computer science, information technology or business administration.

  • 15 years' experience in digital leadership, design thinking, innovation development, knowledge management, information management

  • Experience in strategy development and execution - including but not limited to Digital Development and Delivery, data management, application development, data warehousing and infrastructure management.

  • At least 5 years of responsibility for enterprise level data management activities

  • Must have experience leading a cross-functional team

  • At least 5 years of global leadership experience

  • A working knowledge of Applied Technology solutions used in the AEC industry

  • 5+years experience liaising between business users and technologists to achieve successful business technology solutions

  • 5+ years experience working in the AEC industry preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, information technology staff and subject matter experts

  • Must have an understanding of the challenges, trends, and opportunities in the digital and AEC industries.

  • Excellent understanding of project management principles

  • Support the M&A function to ensure maximum ROI

The Digital Innovation Coordinator is responsible for producing optimized content and ensuring usability and accuracy for the company website utilizing the company's CMS system. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below: * Create and manage online content, perform updates and identify flaws for multiple websites while utilizing existing templates with CMS * Upload, schedule and manage deadlines of web content changes including pricing and product updates * Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies in support of marketing and product team objectives * Manage tasks and logistics for digital content team's deadlines * Work with external agencies by providing assets and monitoring execution/finished product * Proof all creative content to ensure accuracy and partner with key internal stakeholders (Legal, Product, Marketing etc.) for review and approval * Monitor digital trends and new technologies and identify ways to improve and optimize digital properties * Responsible for activities related to website content development and management including content entry through CMS system; partnering with development teams to ensure timely and accurate updates, and communication to teams regarding updates and outstanding items * Monitor and report on content marketing metrics and show continuous improvement of the content strategy based on analytics * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
