Wilkes University invites applicants for a Director of Development in the Division of Advancement & Alumni Relations at Wilkes University. As Wilkes University prepares for a major campaign and looks to expand the Advancement Division, an opportunity for an experienced fundraising leader to take on the role of Director of Development exists. The director will work in collaboration with the Vice President for Advancement and the advancement team to implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy and prepare and develop a strategic plan to execute a campaign.

The successful candidate is responsible for all fundraising activities. This includes overseeing major gift and planned giving efforts, as well as direct appeals.

This position will also play a key role in stewardship planning, and will help to lay the groundwork for a comprehensive campaign. A Master's degree or equivalent work experience is required. The ideal candidate should have ten years of experience in a charity or university/college development office, primarily responsible for major or annual gift development.

Experience during a capital campaign is also desirable. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
