The Director for Customer Visibility and Risk Prevention helps the development and enablement of our customer data mining, analysis, visualization and churn risk identification capabilities.

As such, this leader provides these critical support functions:

  • Partners with Coupa community to develop functional roadmap

  • Supports customer data analysis requests

  • Provides customer data visualization (dashboards, reports, presentations) material for leadership and other functions

  • Designs and implement customer health and risk identification capabilities.

Specific goals center on the following:

  • Create organization that proactively supports and enables the Value Services organization to 'Grow Lifetime Value for all customers'

  • Support business case development efforts for clients

  • Support adoption initiatives of new platform capabilities

  • Provide insights into how customers are leveraging the platform

  • Supports data accuracy initiatives across product and operations

Key activities include:

  • Customer Visibility Programs & Projects

o Define functional strategy & roadmap collaborating with Product and Services Stakeholders

o Budget, Plan & Execute Customer Visibility Roadmap Programs and Projects

o Support data quality initiatives with both product and operations

o Own Regular Progress Reporting

  • Methodology Standards & Tools

o Manage Customer Visibility Methodology & Standards

o Deploy & Administer Customer Visibility Tools and Data Sources (e.g. Birst)

o Manage Customer Visibility Data Requests

  • Functional Leadership

o Recruit and retain global functional team in AMERICAS, EMEA, APJ

o Develop mentoring and training programs

o Maintain team operational cadence (e.g meetings, 1-on-1s)

  • Change Management & Communications

o Work with PMO & Enablement Office to roll-out new Capabilities

o Coordinate with Operations and Security teams on deployment and access needs

  • Enablement

o Plan, Develop & Execute Customer Visibility Training

o Own Services Customer Visibility Onboarding Process

o Own Customer Visibility Knowledge Share Repositories


  • Ability to translate data analysis insights into actionable business recommendations and playbooks

  • Strong background in Data Analysis, Insights Development and Data Visualization

  • Hands-on leader with team leadership experience required.

  • Consultative/collaborative approach with demonstrated success in the following:

  • Managing stakeholder expectations

  • Developing and maintaining internal executive relationships and associated influencing strategies

  • Project management including coordinating across-functional teams

  • Ability to have value-based conversation with business executives

  • Experience managing creation, implementation and evolution of functional strategies and roadmaps

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools required

  • Excellent communication skills including professional writing skills, verbal skills and experience presenting to executive teams.

  • Background in services and spend management software solutions a plus.

  • Minimum bachelor's degree required master's degree a plus

  • 15 years' experience working in corporate environments preferred
