GENERAL SUMMARY
We seek a dedicated and creative professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in leading Labouré 's academic programs and curricula. The role will encompass curriculum development, new program development and coordination, and outreach efforts.
As the Director of Curriculum and Academic Partnerships of the College's Arts and Sciences area, the Director will be expected to work with faculty and staff to build and refine Arts and Science courses and programs by designing learning objectives, content, and the most effective methods for conveying complex concepts to learners.
Additionally, the Director will closely collaborate with community partners and internal stakeholders to develop, implement, and assess new academic programs in response to identified needs in the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assists with implementing the College's mission and strategic planning for the Division of Academic Affairs.
Analyzes Academic Affairs data and prepares reports regarding financial, academic, student services, faculty workloads, faculty accomplishments, etc.
Academic Curriculum
Oversees the internal Academic Program Review process.
Assists the Academic Affairs Division with accreditation responsibilities, including preparation of reports, assisting departments with preparations for accreditation visits, and reviewing and editing responses to accreditors' requests.
Supports and tracks assessment activities of departments and the division.
Oversees the Art and Sciences curriculum, including new course development, assessment processes, program, and course revisions.
Hires, orients, supervises and evaluates all Arts and Sciences faculty.
Prepares the academic schedule for assigned areas.
Coordinates submitting and reviewing relevant college curriculum and maintaining curriculum records.
Provide leadership and direction for faculty professional development initiatives.
Academic Program Development
Leads new projects and program development for the Division.
Stays informed of industry priorities and trends to align curriculum with area needs.
Conducts research and collaborates with internal and external partners to develop new academic programs. Develop proposals for new programs or revisions and submit all program information for approval.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
At least five years or more experience related to the profession
At least three years or more of people management experience
Experience in the use of educational technology systems.
Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
Demonstrated success working in teams to reach established goals.
Mission-driven and committed to working at a college that serves multilingual and multicultural nontraditional students.
Preferred Requirements:
Masters degree
Prior experience in higher education.
