As a Corporate Communications Head, you will create a world-class corporate communication infrastructure that will deliver a consistent, compelling and creative experience for our customers, our markets, employees and financial stakeholders. The role is responsible for Industry Thought Leadership, Customer Communications, Compliance Communications,

  • Work across the organization to create a comprehensive communications cadence for all internal and external communications.

  • Communications includes product releases, executive hires and promotions, customer service communication, employee marketing and thought leadership releases. It also includes management of engagement with market organizations, agencies and customer forums.

  • Collaborate and counsel cross-functionally in ways that levers management as key channels while also providing for consistent and timely information flow and messaging

  • Author internal, external, and client communications that are consistent with our global brand strategy across all platforms (e.g. corporate town halls, social media platforms, client events, external conferences, swag etc.)

  • Establish effective partnerships across the organization to promote employee experience objectives

  • Author and collaborate across the organization to create and manage stories, blog posts, social posts, newsletters, live events, and other communications products suited for a public audience

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 6+ years of work experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • A highly-organized and positive utility player who is comfortable working cross-functionally towards solutions

Crafting these stories requires a different way of thinking about corporate communications and its powerful possibilities. It also requires a creative thinker with a keen sense of curiosity, ambition, and can-do attitude. As our first Director of Corporate Communications, your job is to evolve UEG's presence in the media and industry landscape and advance the company's leadership in all things entertainment, sports, and lifestyle marketing. This is the company's most senior media-focused role at the agency, straddling business strategy, client relations and media relations. It's ideal for someone who aspires to continue cultivating their media skills while contributing deeply to company leadership and growth. This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Team and will be based in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City. Responsibilities: * Serve as lead for creating, crafting, and placing stories that promote the agency activities and on-going work * Work with editors of trade publications for placement of stories that promote UEG on-going initiatives and activity * Work with conventions, forums, and industry events to feature UEG work and executives on panels and discussions * Lead application, submission, and enrollment of work into award shows (ie Cannes Lions), as well as other industry relevant events and programs * Structure multi-media (tv, print, digital, radio, pod casts, etc) speaking circuits for key executives to advance UEG platform and POVs * Create and distribute UEG promotional materials (electronic newsletters, email alerts, promotional items, etc.) to clients, prospects, and office network for on-going understanding of offering and updated accomplished work * Leads the development of annual meetings, summits, team retreats for employees * Lead the development of special/ VIP events for clients, employees, and prospects * Creation, oversight, and regular updating of company promotional platforms (website, social feeds, etc.) * Creation, oversight, and maintaining global consistent look and feel of internal and external agency branding and correspondence materials (pitch decks, stationary, case study library, global translations of work, etc.) * Work with clients on joint press releases for industry and consumer trades Manages direct reports (2) Skills & Qualities: * Deep knowledge and active relationships with industry press and festival/ convention committees * Minimum 8 years of experience in ad agency / marketing industry * Maintains deep knowledge of the evolution of the media and PR landscape; is always looking for ways to better map media approaches to industry trends * Previous success leading teams * Direct report management experience * Maintains top-tier rolodex of media relationships * Minimum BA/BS degree Edelman New York NY
