Summary:
The Director of Contracts and Pricing will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of contract management Goldbelt Frontier, including proposal development, negotiation, and administration. This individual will ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies while optimizing pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitive advantage. This person will possess a deep understanding of government contracting, strong analytical skills, and excellent leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Interfacing with Government officials to ensure an understanding of the requirements
Establishing competitive and defensible cost and pricing data for the development of proposals in accordance with the government's RFP specifications
Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts, subcontracts, modifications, and agreements
Ensure compliance with all federal regulations (FAR/DFAR), company policies, and contractual obligations
Monitor contract performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
Maintain accurate and complete contract documentation and records
Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with company goals and market conditions
Conduct pricing analysis and cost evaluations to support competitive and compliant proposals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Business Development, Program Management) to develop pricing models and strategies
Ensure pricing proposals meet regulatory requirements and company standards
Lead the proposal development process, including pricing and cost volume preparation
Review and approve cost proposals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness
Work closely with the Business Development team to develop winning strategies and responses to RFPs
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence
Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and best practices
Provides supervision to contracts and pricing staff
Work with President with the development of annual budget and lead financial performance reports
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of cost accounting standards for government contracts
Thorough knowledge and experience working with SCA contracts and the corresponding wage determination rules
Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFAR) and government contracting processes
Proven experience in leading and managing a contracts and pricing team
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field OR equivalent years of experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management and pricing within the federal contracting environment
Project Management Experience is required
Experience in government proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and contract activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field
At least 10 or more years' experience in business operations, contracting and/or purchasing fields
Supervisory experience preferred
The salary range for this position is $129,500 - $187,800 per year
