The Director of Content Strategy will work with individuals across the organization in the completion of deliverables and promotion of the CS Discipline.

This role will require 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs and controls the activities of senior content strategists, and team associates. Assists with departmental structure, workforce planning, career development, training, planning and budgeting.

  • Direct contributor to decisions in hiring, firing, objective setting, performance appraisals, coaching, and pay reviews.

  • Be "the voice of UX authority" in internal and client meetings. Meet with clients, account teams, and internal teams regularly.

  • Collaborate and communicate professionally with clients and internal teams, especially the ability to work closely with digital strategists, visual designers, and development teams.

  • Lead UX/Content Strategy/Digital Brand Strategy efforts in pitches for new work and participate in the pitch.

  • Manages staff (including direct, indirect, and matrixed) against project timelines and internal initiatives Manages career paths by coaching and mentoring direct and indirect reports.

  • Develops best practices and champions them within the organization.

  • Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people.

  • Provides strategy and direction for major functional areas with the UX team.

  • Evangelize our skills, services, and methodology across the broader Epsilon organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of designing customer experiences for websites, mobile applications, enterprise software, and beyond.

  • 8-10 years' leadership experience with an integrated UX team.

  • Ability to manage difficult clients or project teams, to successfully "fight fires" and leave the client satisfied at the end

Will perform all the responsibilities of Content Strategist 1, 2, Senior and Associate Director.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Build comprehensive content strategies that deliver across segments, personas, and customer lifecycles

  • Attention to detail in performing comprehensive site and app audits

  • Ability to evaluate content for viability and quality, based on business and customer needs

  • Ability to write and edit copy that meets strategy and business goals

  • Depending on project needs, oversee and/or execute Copywriting tasks

  • Firm grasp of what constitutes valuable content and the ability to make that known and understood by those around you

  • Flexibility, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, shifting priorities and the occasional abrupt change

  • Experience crafting user experiences through copy and digital assets (video, infographics, etc)

  • Support the development of user journeys based on understanding the customer and business objectives

  • Experience providing guidance to UX and Visual designers that supports the creation of strategy-driven digital experiences

  • Assess existing copy and assets and make strategy-based recommendations for repurposing and creating new content

  • Develop messaging guidelines that can be provided to copywriters to inform copy creation

The analyst will conduct research to identify underperforming content areas, top optimization opportunities, and evangelize their findings to help organize diverse THD teams make informed decisions that drive traffic and conversion that improve overall program performance. The analyst will work across multiple marketing, creative, and dev teams, so planning and execution in a fast-paced environment is critical. As analyst you will: * Provide holistic, digestible content performance data as well as categorical analysis (e.g., guide, video, copy blocks, and the like) to help inform yearly roadmaps as well as day-to-day content strategies. * Assess impact of major content initiatives and technological developments on ROI (e.g., content migration, content gap analysis, voice search, etc.) * Identify reporting gaps and work with partners to close the gaps * Work with SEO Content Manager & Director to implement improvements in content measurement and develop forecasting models * Partner with business intelligence and category experience to ensure core content initiatives are coded & tracked properly to provide needed data for measurement * Partner with cross-functional teams to share & incorporate learnings into company-wide SOPs and best practices. * Own daily monitoring of analytics, weekly/monthly dashboard creation and delivery of ad-hoc reporting MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * 35% - Researches and analyzes trends/performance data to identify opportunities for program improvements and enhancements.
