About the opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Content Operations to lead our content review team, content annotation and curation efforts, and manage a global network of vendors. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, possess exceptional leadership abilities, and have a strong focus on maintaining content standards and quality assurance. This role will require you to develop and execute long-term strategies for growth and scalability.

The day to day:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies for content operations that align with the company's growth objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content strategies are aligned with broader company goals.

  • Vendor Management

  • Manage a global network of content vendors, ensuring they meet our quality standards and delivery timelines.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to optimize costs and performance.

  • Develop and enforce service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure vendor compliance and quality assurance.

  • Content Standards & Quality Assurance

  • Establish and maintain content standards and guidelines to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all platforms.

  • Implement quality assurance processes to regularly evaluate and improve content.

  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to ensure standards are met and identify areas for improvement.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Utilize data analytics to inform content strategy and operational decisions.

  • Work with BI to develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to senior leadership.

  • Conduct regular reviews of content performance and operational efficiency, presenting findings and recommendations for improvement.

  • Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the content review team to ensure high performance and continuous development.

  • Oversee the content annotation and curation processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages excellence and accountability.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-12 years of experience in content operations, content management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing large teams and leading global content operations.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and data analytics tools.

  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

The compensation package offered may vary depending on employment experience, skills, and knowledge. You may also be eligible for our generous benefits package including health, wellness and financial benefits. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of the location(s) below may differ based on the cost of labor, market, and additional factors.

The pay range for this position is below:

  • 160,000 - 180,000 per year in New York

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
