What You'll Do Here:
The Director of Content Development leads and manages teams that work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure content for assigned projects meets requirements, and is delivered on schedule and within budget. The position is responsible for planning, controlling, and directing all activities of the content development staff, hiring, training and development, and process improvement.
Staff Management/Talent DevelopmentRecruits, selects, and directs a Content Development Manager team. Assigns projects and conducts performance coaching.
Provides feedback and supports continuous learning and staff development that enhances individual performance and team capabilities. Creates and manages remediation plans as needed to ensure excellent service to stakeholders and continuous improvement by staff. Relationship ManagementBuilds and cultivates relationships with cross-functional partners including Product Management, Learning Designers, Internal SMEs, Content Delivery, and other stakeholders critical to the success of this team.
Partners with these stakeholders and others as needed to ensure content meets requirements and is delivered on schedule and within budget. Operations, Process Improvement, and Performance Analytics Implements and utilizes services best practices and process improvement to increase services capability, and drives increased revenue and profitability to support business goals. Ensures customer success by providing the prescribed level of editorial quality as established by the Product Team.
Drives changes to the platform to achieve a higher level of departmental success which improve processes and satisfaction. Acts as the escalation point for all key customer interactions to ensure the proper level of attention and service to key partners and institutions. Manages all aspects of new and existing partner relationships which include but are not limited to: negotiating and drafting contracts, defining licensing agreements, defining term of access, coding prices and processes, approving title by title addendums and service agreements.
Responsible for overall financial performance of existing partnerships. Manages departmental budgets and P&L at project and team level.
