What You'll Do Here:

The Director of Content Development leads and manages teams that work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure content for assigned projects meets requirements, and is delivered on schedule and within budget. The position is responsible for planning, controlling, and directing all activities of the content development staff, hiring, training and development, and process improvement.

Staff Management/Talent DevelopmentRecruits, selects, and directs a Content Development Manager team. Assigns projects and conducts performance coaching.

Provides feedback and supports continuous learning and staff development that enhances individual performance and team capabilities. Creates and manages remediation plans as needed to ensure excellent service to stakeholders and continuous improvement by staff. Relationship ManagementBuilds and cultivates relationships with cross-functional partners including Product Management, Learning Designers, Internal SMEs, Content Delivery, and other stakeholders critical to the success of this team.

Partners with these stakeholders and others as needed to ensure content meets requirements and is delivered on schedule and within budget. Operations, Process Improvement, and Performance Analytics Implements and utilizes services best practices and process improvement to increase services capability, and drives increased revenue and profitability to support business goals. Ensures customer success by providing the prescribed level of editorial quality as established by the Product Team.

Drives changes to the platform to achieve a higher level of departmental success which improve processes and satisfaction. Acts as the escalation point for all key customer interactions to ensure the proper level of attention and service to key partners and institutions. Manages all aspects of new and existing partner relationships which include but are not limited to: negotiating and drafting contracts, defining licensing agreements, defining term of access, coding prices and processes, approving title by title addendums and service agreements.

Responsible for overall financial performance of existing partnerships. Manages departmental budgets and P&L at project and team level.

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • BA/BS (Math, Sciences, Engineering, or Business) Minimum of 5-7 years with a successful track record of leading teams and managing budgets Strong people management and communication skills Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly Ability to think strategically while maintaining a focus on execution and results Passion for staff development and process improvement Nice to Have Experience managing customer relationships MBA

As a UCB Medical Director you like to work in an environment where you can: * Be innovative in clinical drug development and your assessment of current and future treatment strategies * Deliver thorough and ethical scientific/clinical safety data analysis to show value for patients * Work together with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions for patients living with severe diseases You will contribute by: * Providing medical and scientific expertise into project and study teams to successfully develop and execute clinical development plans including clinical study protocols and reports, regulatory submission documents, and other clinical documents * Ensuring the study-related safety of the subjects in the clinical trials through appropriate medical monitoring of studies on an ongoing basis * Providing training and ongoing input to all members of the Clinical Team and the Clinical Study Team on medical/scientific issues related to the therapeutic field in question * Serving as a key global medical/scientific spokesperson for UCB with the internal and external community including various regulatory and governmental agencies (for post-Proof Of Concept clinical programs). For this position you'll need the following education, experience and skills: * Medical qualification (MD) required * Board certification or other relevant higher medical and academic qualification in neurology * Experience in clinical practice in relevant discipline preferred * Familiarity with the US healthcare ecosystem including ICD 9/10 coding and billing * Interpretation of data using integrated patient databases such as claims and EMR to aid with understanding and improving clinical care * Experience in pharmaceutical industry in clinical development, including knowledge of GCP * Clear and articulate verbal, written and presentation skills with good command of the English language and the appropriate comportment to represent UCB internationally at meetings and congresses. * Strong team player with ability to work in global diverse matrix teams and to build effective working relationships at all levels in the organization * Scientific curiosity and ability to innovate combined with attention to timelines, results and added value Discover more about UCB at UCB is a global biopharmaceutical company.
