DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS, Human Resources, to lead and implement an employee/internal communications strategy that promotes strategic priorities and advances HR brand awareness. Will report to and serve as an advisor to the vice president for human resources on communications strategy and planning; serve as a member of the HR leadership team and as liaison between leadership and the department; and work with HR management and staff in planning and implementing Institute-wide and local communications. Responsibilities include collaborating on the creation and implementation of an integrated strategic communications plan to advance awareness of HR services/programs/policies/procedures; advising and coordinating communications strategy in consultation with the VP; developing high-level messages for local and Institute-wide dissemination; representing the VP in various communication capacities; collaborating with communications colleagues across MIT; serving on various planning groups; and managing a small team of communications professionals.
