The Director of Collegeof Business Alumni Relations is responsible for creating and managingrelationships with alumni, students, and members of the business community whoare interested in supporting the University of Colorado Springs (UCCS) Collegeof Business (COB). This position will require creativity and energy indesigning new events that will excite our alumni to become involved in the
College's activities and ultimately become College benefactors. To this extent,the Director will work closely with campus development to secure programsponsorships and assist with donor cultivation to perpetuate alumni relatedactivities. Further, the Director will work to continue the success of the
College legacy events such as the Lifetime Entrepreneurship Award Luncheon andthe Career Coaching Program. The Director will broadly engage in strategicevent planning, creative marketing, program development, and administrativeduties. Other duties as assigned.
Manages college alumni relations program, oversees associated budgets and coordinates all aspects of alumni special events.
Collaborates with the College and departments to develop affinity-based communication and programming.
Conducts benchmarking and other research on such projects as stewardship, outreach efforts, alumni engagement, UCCS alumni locations
Solicits corporate and individual sponsorships to support COB programs in collaboration with campus development office.
Conducts research of alumni and donors in coordination with campus office to support events, stewardship, and other activities.
Executes alumni recognition program via letters, social media, and other means.
Provides event support for the College events such as Graduation Brunch, Graduation Fair, dean breakfasts, and other college events.
Works closely with campus development staff on alumni outreach efforts and strategies.
Manages the Alumni Executive Board and selection of scholarship recipients.
Secures and manages sponsorships for college and special events.
Coordinates alumni chapter and volunteer programs.
Partners with career services for alumni career services and mentoring program.
Manages the College database updates, volunteers, and alumni membership cards.
Partners and coordinates with campus Alumni Office and Annual Fund office.
Coordinates visibility and presence at student events.
Printed and ElectronicCommunication:
Manages alumni publications, including working with a designer, creating all content, coordinating all photography, generating a mailing list and managing the mailing process in partnership with campus marketing and communications offices.
Manages publication of alumni information brochure, alumni directory and traditions publication, including writing copy, working with designers, and managing printing and production.
Manages production of alumni marketing videos, including outreach, annual fund, and profiles.
Creates and distributes alumni e-newsletter.
Coordinates e-communication with seniors and recent graduates.
Website and SocialMedia:
Manages alumni website structure, design, HTML, content and photography.
Manages Alumni Association presence on social media.
Tracks analytics on website and oversees analytics for other communication platforms.

Salary: $58,000 - $62,000
Forthe purposes of FLSA this position has been determined to be exempt from (noteligible for) overtime under FLSA.

CompletedBachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
At least 2 years of full-timeequivalent professional event planningexperience (for example, as a job duty of a current or previous position).
Experience in alumni relations (that included fundraising duties).
Experienceworking with faculty, staff, and students in a traditional university setting.
Experienceand competence in event planning
Experience performing financial functions suchas maintaining and monitoring budgets, creating purchase orders/requisitions,and procurement duties.
Experiencewith campus information systems and reporting tools (e.g. PeopleSoft, ConcurTravel & Expense System).
