POSITION SUMMARY

Part product manager, part business analyst, part marketer, full-time evangelist, the Director of Collaborate Programs (DCP) is that unique individual who can bring to life a product vision and ensure its profitability. In partnership with executives, IT, marketers, sales, product managers and service departments, the DCP will create a compelling value proposition and evangelize the benefits to internal and external stakeholders alike. With a focus on reaching corporate goals and positively affecting the growth of the company, the DCP must be entrepreneurial, creative, and eager for a challenge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding our Collaborate Program product in engaging, functional ways, while considering new distribution channels. The DCP will work creatively and pragmatically to conserve resources and engage the product's existing and potential audience. As an understanding of client needs is critical, the DCP will conduct market research that includes working directly with clients to understand target audience needs and issues, and to find innovative solutions for existing and new market segments. An innovative perspective on product development is important in this role.

Working from a strategic point of view, the DCP will collaborate with the Directors of Marketing, eCommerce, and GoToMarket as well as sales leaders to ensure exceptional messaging, adoption, and execution of all Collaborate Programs.

Analyzing metrics and results is a critical element of the DCP's responsibility. Improving strategy, recommending changes, and being innovative all stem from knowledge gained in analyzing efforts of the team. The DCP is responsible for reporting to the VP of Marketing on a regular basis key performance indicators.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ownership and management of Customer Experience including technical infrastructure, design & aesthetics, content, navigation, information architecture, branding/marketing, performance, functionality, and more

  • Maintain a comprehensive product roadmap

  • Exceptional understanding of product components and its potential impact on the market as a whole

  • The ability to be discrete when discussing the production roll-out and maintain confidentiality

  • Evaluate market competition and position the product so that it appeals to consumers

  • Prepare launch events to coincide with consumers' buying patterns

  • Create a go-to-market summary as new features and functions are released and introduce it to the necessary internal stakeholders

  • Collaboration with the Directors of Marketing, eCommerce, GoToMarket, and Sales to ensure Collaborate Program efforts are best supported, optimized, serviced, and hit revenue expectations

  • Collaboration with the Director of eCommerce to ensure positive SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies within the eStore/Marketplace

  • Direct and manage internal and external teams

  • Budget management

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

A. KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 5+ years' product management experience in a supervisory capacity

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing required (MBA preferred)

  • Demonstrated success defining, launching, and maintaining excellent products

  • Knowledgeable on use of computer technology in the education market

  • Ability to lead a team

  • Knowledge of the market and industry

  • Basic knowledge of web development platforms, databases and infrastructure

  • Healthcare experience a plus

B. SKILLS REQUIRED (manual, verbal or mental manipulation of data or things):

  • Fluent in Salesforce.com, knowledge of content management systems Sitefinity and Znode, experience with Pardot Marketing Automation, and experience with Office 365 and WebEx

  • Commitment to 25 percent travel for the first year

  • Strong motivational skills, especially when it comes to leading a team

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills

C. ABILITIES REQUIRED

The DCP needs to be a strong leader capable of delegating, a strategic thinker, and an effective communicator. A self-sufficient individual comfortable working in a complex, evolving environment. Exceptional project management and organizational skills are necessary. The DCP (under the leadership of the VP of Marketing) will not only be empowered to take our Collaborate Program to the next level but it will be expected.
