Director of Clinical Operations

The Director of Clinical Operations will work closely with our established Nursing, Operating Room, and Sonography Supervisors to work through the duties described below.
Works in close collaboration with the physician leadership to develop the strategic direction and operational blueprint of the Clinical Services Department.
Drives the design, development and implementation of policies and procedures that govern the delivery of patient care services.
Maintains practice operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing practice operational policies, procedures, and HIPAA & safety standards.
Assists and participates in ongoing Quality Improvement & Risk Management initiatives.
Leads initiatives to improve clinical practices and processes to ensure smooth daily operations, identifies improvement opportunities and actively seeks problem resolution.
Communicates regularly and in a timely manner with Clinical Services personnel to keep all staff informed of clinical and operational procedures and changes in order to ensure consistent, high quality care throughout the Practice.
Develops a comprehensive staffing plan for the Clinical Services Department that complies with budget yet ensures sufficient staffing to provide high quality patient care services.
Oversees the design, development and planning of Clinical Services Orientation and Training Programs to ensure that all personnel are trained and proficiency in the range of knowledge and skills required to provide competent, high quality care.
Works closely with Clinical Services supervisory personnel to ensure their development and provide the means to implement goals and objectives.Finalizes and approves the benchmarks for evaluating staff performance.
Serves as a role model for supervisors, team leaders, and staff by exemplary performance, commitment to the organizations and its mission, goals and vision.
Oversees and participates in the external audit process such as laboratory, OR/PACU credentialing and licensure processes (e.g. AAAHC, CLIA, OSHA, etc.). Ensures compliance for all offices with all state and federal requirements.
Understands the principles of CQI, including team work and data-based decision making, and incorporates these approaches into daily operations.
Maintains knowledge of healthcare regulations (including FDA) and communicates information and/or educates staff regarding new regulations as needed. Develops operational policies and procedures as needed to maintain compliance and implements a system of check and balances to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures, and standards. Ensures that all staff training, accreditation's, and certifications are up-to-date and current.
Carries out other assignments and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the medical leadership and Executive Director.
RN required. Must be California licensed.
At least five years of experience in senior positions in health care services with a superior track record of growth and multi-site management.
At least 3 years of experience within the infertility field required
At least 5 years of Supervisory experience required.
Flexibility to travel to all RSC Bay Area offices as needed.
Strong customer service and results orientation; highly responsive to requests.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain highly effective teams.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
