Your Role: As the Head of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, you will lead a team of experts and project engineers for civil, mechanical and electrical projects for EMD Electronics globally. This team is composed of the core project engineers who are responsible for all matters of site preparation, 3D Modeling, plant design & construction, plumbing, HVAC, and validation of as-built versus plan. This team will provide its services among large capital projects worldwide with focus in Asia and North America. The successful candidate will become a member of the Global Management Team within EMD Electronics Semiconductor Materials Engineering.

You will report to the VP Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain Semiconductor Materials and can be located in either the US or Korea.

  • The principal accountabilities of the CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) & MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineering team include the development of infrastructure, architectural, building services and electrical designs for novel chemistry manufacturing plants starting with the basic infrastructure, plot and floor plans.

  • Optimizing layouts regarding the needs of a multi-product, flexible production which is characterized by complex material and personnel flows.

  • Interfacing with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms during bid and project execution phases. Competently transitioning new, sustainable technologies to production building design.

Who You Are:

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelors degree in engineering

  • 10+ years of experience in capital project execution in APAC or USA.

  • Expertise in leading and managing international teams.

  • Experienced in managing interfaces between construction, building services and electrical engineering disciplines.

  • Experienced in applying Building Information Modeling for process manufacturing buildings.

  • Readiness for international business trips >50%.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master's degree in engineering

  • Advanced understanding of industry wide technology trends and best practices.

  • Knowledge of international standards and guidelines.

  • Acumen for process manufacturing workflows and logistics.

  • Acumen for applying digital technologies in design, construction and commissioning of process manufacturing sites

  • Travel required

The position is preferably located at our Allentown Site. Other Electronics Sites (Tempe, AZ; Carlsbad, CA; Branchburg, NJ) in the United States may also be considered. It can be located at another of our US Electronics sites or fully remote with periodic travel to meet with key stakeholders.
