Peloton is looking for a senior leader to define and execute on a vision to create a world class operations team for Enterprise Systems. The result will ensure we consistently, reliably, and effortlessly deliver best-in-class experiences to customers and our internal teams. Your primary responsibilities include providing effective monitoring and incident management for multiple global business services. You will also define and roll out processes and frameworks for change management, problem management, environment management that work across Enterprise Systems and the broader Peloton technology team. You will then work with our peers and stakeholders to gain alignment and adoption.

As a key leader within Enterprise Systems, you will work with your peers to define a service catalog, define service level indicators, and automate reporting against these over time. You take a risk-based approach, and put in the lightest possible solutions. You will help us find problems before our customers do while scaling our operations.

The successful candidate will have a mix of excellent technical, analytical, program management, and communications skills. You are a strong, acknowledged leader, an empathic listener, and you can explain complex ideas to C-level audiences using plain English. You have worked for a large enterprise, and you want to mature Peloton's thinking and execution. You have been responsible for an operations team running a global, 24x7 service. You are very collaborative, thrive when solving hard problems, and move effortlessly across organizational boundaries.


Director, Enterprise Operations

Responsibilities:
  • Build the long term strategic roadmap for the Enterprise Systems Operations architecture in line with business priorities and objectives

  • Mature our execution on basic operational processes including incident management, change management, problem management using the lightest touch possible.

  • Build out, manage and automate our pre-production environments, including regular refresh schedules for all supported platforms

  • Build out and manage a global team of operations staff

  • Create proactive alerting systems to ensure rapid detection and response to production issues

  • Create effective communication channels and protocols for creating the right level of awareness across Peloton

  • Identify strategies for resolving and preferably avoiding unintended consequences introduced by complex development and business process re-engineering programs

  • Recommend approaches to make Peloton's business infrastructure more agile and responsive to changing business conditions. These approaches may include people and processes as well as technology.

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of enterprise operations experience including support of 24x7 systems

  • 5+ years of leadership experience of global teams

  • 5+ years working with SaaS applications

  • 3+ years of business systems analyst or engineering experience

  • 3+ years implementing monitoring, management, CI/CD platforms

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) seeks a dynamic and effective Development Operations Engineer. This job reports to the Director, Development Operations & Systems. Purpose : Development Operations Engineer collaborates with Development Operations, Software Engineering and Information Security colleagues to perform ongoing operational duties and works on medium to large scale technical projects as assigned. Main operational duties include maintenance of the PPFA web server infrastructure, configuration management, stability and security of our server environment, continuous integration deployments. DELIVERY * Ongoing Property Maintenance * Partner with Director, Development Operations & Systems to collaboratively perform ongoing operational duties * Configuration management * Application and Devops Integration * Perform and support frequent continuous integration dev, qa, uat and production deployments * Help maintain and improve our CI and CD pipelines * Perform code reviews * Security Compliance and Reviews * Ensure compliance with security standards that Application Development Department follows by helping perform security audits and remediations on a weekly basis, or as new vulnerabilities are found, perform regular updates to server infrastructure during scheduled off hours maintenance windows * Help manage security access controls * Help maintain internal DNS, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, Logging services * Assist with updates to logging systems, ensure logs are being captured in the central logging repository * Help implement proactive security measures * Architecture and Systems Design * Co-Develop and implement in house alternative solutions to expensive outsourced vendors ○ * Document and develop server architecture diagrams on an ongoing basis * Provide cost effective server solutions (Cloud and Hardware) * Proactively identify areas to drive automation and automate everyday tasks ENGAGEMENT * Development Operations Engineer works under the supervision of the Director, Development Operations & Systems, and closely collaborates with team members and other internal departments and external partner vendors, and contractors. Collaborate with internal and external vendor partner developers, information security, legal, and product stakeholders to ensure applications adhere to our Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs) * Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience * Experience: 5+ years * Experience using configuration management tools such as SaltStack * Experience using Jenkins, Travis, Github and other related continuous integration tools * Experience setting up Docker containers * Experience in Rancher, Kubernetes * Strong Unix/Linux System Administration skills * AWS Administration skills * Knowledge of web, proxy, load balancers and caching servers (such as Memcached, Redis) * PostgreSQL, MySQL * Nginx, Haproxy, Git * Nessus, NexPose, Splunk, LogStash, Terraform * Knowledge of Python and Bash required * Knowledge of PHP, C and other languages like Ruby, or Perl a plus * Knowledge of cybersecurity standards * Strong problem solving skills are required * You are a compelling and clear communicator who networks well with your peers to understand their product and technology requirements while also representing your own. * You are able to estimate work and meet deadlines * Experience working within a team environment * Knowledge of diverse groups, working with a multicultural workforce, and sensitivity and appreciation to cultural differences is required.
