Description

As a Director of Business Development Sports & Entertainment you will have an exciting opportunity to exceed assigned pipeline and profit objectives and work closely with the VP and AVP of Sales in developing overall sales strategies for your geographic territory. You will also partner closely with regional executive leaders and directors in creating and implementing the sales processes and aligning with regional operational goals.

Successful sales leaders in this role will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive sales process leadership from contact through strategy, proposal, presentation & successful conclusion for a defined market

  • Aggressively research, identify, qualify & target potential clients & develop access strategy to initiate contact

  • Develop & maintain relationships at the 'C Suite' while understanding and communicating prospective customers' corporate culture within Aramark

  • Exercise creativity and independent judgment in developing and evaluating sales and marketing strategies in selling broad portfolio of services within defined market

  • Develop and lead strategy process with regard to: Competitive Environment, Account Sales Strategy and Territory Development Strategy

  • Identify needs and source customer specific solutions for those needs

  • Utilize resources from across Aramark in order to design & deliver customer desired outcomes

  • Influence and collaborate with regional team members without formal authority to achieve expected sales objectives

  • Develop relationships with intermediaries to build pipeline of opportunities and awareness of capabilities

  • Represent Aramark in the marketplace through various industry conferences and events

  • Build relationships personally with prospective C-Suite customers to ultimately develop a coach for all new sales initiatives

  • Effectively prepare and execute sales presentations

  • Provide appropriate market & competitive information

Qualifications

The most successful sales leader for this opportunity will have prior experience in:

  • Consultative Selling: understanding how to align and become a strategic solutions partner to fulfill client needs

  • Successfully building alliances and influencing key decisions makers (at all levels)

  • Cross-functional business leadership across a matrixed organizations

  • Strategic and complex sales planning and methodologies

  • Proposal coordination & project management: experience working within set deadlines

  • Researching and obtaining market awareness of industry and client

  • Financial acumen in understanding operations, financial modeling, and proposal development

  • Demonstrating competitive drive & determination, to navigate through red flags and deliver expected results

  • Developing and executing sales processes through indirect/direct influence

  • Demonstrating strong, creative writing and oral communication skills, presentation skills, computer skills, researching, editing and producing customized sales proposal

BA/BS is required for this position. Ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of B2B solution-based selling experience. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is required. Position requires flexibility to travel 75%, including overnight.

A Day in the Life The Enabling Technology Program Development Manager has leadership responsibility for driving program development and execution at strategic Medtronic accounts and physician customers. This leader will be responsible for building and fostering the Administrative and C-Suite relationships at select accounts to implement programs. The individual will also cultivate relationships with clinical leaders, divisional leaders or chairs of relevant clinical areas. The primary work will be the development and deployment of unique programs aligned to the RTG Enabling Technology portfolio while integrating other Medtronic restorative therapies (RTG) products and service offerings. The programs will drive acceleration and adoption of our Enabling Technologies (O-Arm, Stealth, and Robotics) while strengthening customer relationships. This leader will partner with the NRC team, Regional Vice Presidents (RVP's), and local sales leadership to promote cross-functional team collaboration to position Medtronic RTG to drive revenue and increase Medtronic share. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: * Lead Enabling Technology Program (ETP) development, execution, and communication to drive utilization, increase revenue, and drive market share * Lead collaboration with the RVP, field team, and Business Unit leadership to drive adoption of the Medtronic RTG Enabling Technology product portfolio * Identify opportunities to develop unique Enabling Technology Programs (ETP) that leverage Medtronic's capabilities to help customers optimize cost and outcomes, increase patient access and improving efficiencies * Launch and lead execution of Enabling Technology Programs (ETP) into accounts to address customer's long-term strategic imperatives and provide feedback to the internal organization on potential new solutions * Launch programs in targeted strategic accounts to pilot new ETP elements that can then scale across the entire universe of Enabling Technology accounts. * Achieve fiscal year AOP targets. Consistently grow revenue and utilization in targeted accounts at a rate exceeding national RTG average * Move customers from current state to a trusted strategic partnership * Build a strong Medtronic brand and relationship at the Service Line Administrator and C-Suite level within these hospitals and health systems. Additionally, support the sales teams in building internal relationships across all RTG business units. Encourage RTG BU sales teams to leverage individual physician relationships in Enabling Technology Accounts * Collaborate with the NRC Regional Managers to coach the NRCs and other RTG local sales teams on program development and proactively share best practices * Implement a thorough account planning process to align local sales team on specific account level strategies, objectives, and timelines * Identify key customer needs and partner with the Director(s) of Strategic Accounts (DSA) and Strategic Solutions Director(s) (SSD) to acquire and coordinate appropriate resources to deliver and implement programs that drive unique value * Co-develop strategic or business plans that span RTG businesses, that identifies relevant customer needs, prioritizes initiatives and company investments, and establishes a clear action plan for success * Support quarterly business review efforts with regional RTG business units and local sales teams * Ensure customer solution ideas and requests are communicated internally * Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed. * Submit reports and provide information as directed. * Adhere to company policies and conduct all business in an ethical manner. * Comply with all Medtronic policies Must Have: Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of sales experience with 1 of those 3 years in medical sales; or * Bachelor's Degree plus 1 year of Medtronic RTG (Pain, Brain or Spine) Clinical Specialist or Sales Rep I experience along with 2 years of additional prior sales or clinical experience.
