We are seeking a Director of Business Development to join the Rotech team! In this position you will be responsible for growing specific sales territories in metropolitan markets by implementing strategic marketing strategies selling Rotech services to hospitals and hospital systems and other referral sources to enhance the overall success and growth of Rotech Healthcare; maximizing success through contractual agreements, Liaisons, Hospital Sales Reps, along with coaching a designated team of Sales Representatives and Clinical Specialists in the assigned market to meet company growth goals and targets with sales leadership expertise and mentoring skills to increase sales performance.

Candidates can live anywhere in the Region including NY, NJ, ME, RI, PA, OH, MD, VA, CT.

JOB INFORMATION

  • Assesses business potential, competitor activity, sales coverage, Liaison needs and sales strategy for hospitals in assigned metropolitan markets

  • Contacts key personnel in hospital systems to qualify hospital account, determine appropriate sales strategy and implement with Rotech Location

  • Provides strategic sales leadership, training and mentoring to designated Sales Representatives and/or Liaisons

  • Performs frequent field days with designated Sales Representatives

  • Works with VP Sales & Business Development, CSO, VP Field Sales & Ops, RM, AM and LCM to implement sales tools and best practices

  • Keeps updated on industry and market place trends

  • Models effective leadership skills to attain regional goals and budget results

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of five years' experience in RT/DME sales or healthcare industry sales preferred

  • Travel extensively via airplane and/or vehicle

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities

  • Strong planning, multitasking and organizing skills

  • Understand sales analysis, revenue management and basic corporate financial structure

Physical Demands:

  • Travel extensively via airplane and/or vehicle

  • Utilize computer for extensive hours

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. during travel

  • Regularly view documents with small print

Such traits are crucial for the success of Wesleyan’s Fries Center for Global Studies, a unit committed to collaborating with all members of our community to advance the knowledge, language and intercultural skills, self-awareness, and empathy needed for responsible participation in our increasingly interdependent world. Reporting to the Director of the Fries Center for Global Studies, The Assistant Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing high-impact intercultural initiatives aimed at campus internationalization, in part through the lens of language learning. The position works closely with colleagues in the Fries Center for Global Studies and collaborates with Wesleyan language faculty and Wesleyan student groups to further build culture and language-based communities of practice across campus. Primary responsibilities include: INTERCULTURAL OUTREACH AND PROGRAMMING Facilitate workshops for students, faculty, and staff on intercultural competency and engage in intercultural competency assessment Develop, oversee, and evaluate learning outcomes for the Global Engagement Certificate program Collaborate with campus partners to put on campus-wide intercultural and international events such as International Education Week, Power of Language Conference, and Wes and the World Photo Contest. Collaborate with the Office of Study Abroad to facilitate pre-departure and reentry workshops Organize and mentor student organizations and host activities aimed at fostering regular and meaningful interaction of international and U.S. based students; organize programming for Freeman Scholars and Davis Scholars Collaborate with relevant staff in orienting and advising Wesleyan’s international students and coordinate programming on matters related to cultural immersion; co-chair the International Student Advisory Board LANGUAGE OUTREACH AND SUPPORT Collaborate with campus partners to promote and highlight language learning, including working with faculty through the Language Collective and the Deans’ Office regarding current and incoming students Develop and adopt tools and strategies for identifying proficiencies and tracking activities in languages other than English, and work with the Registrar and Institutional Research to monitor, track and assess growth in this area Collaborate with the Director of Language Resources and Technology in implementing instructional opportunities for languages not regularly taught at Wesleyan.
