This Renewable Energy Finance specialist will work with renewable energy project developers to develop and maintain a profitable renewable energy finance portfolio of assets. Responsibilities include pre-screening opportunities, structuring and pricing. This specialist will look for cross sell opportunities for other bank partners, prepare deal preview packages, and work with other colleagues to document opportunities in accordance with internal and external regulations.
Independently and in collaboration with others, this colleague will develop and maintain a profitable loan portfolio by:
o Huntington's Banking Relationship Managers
o Direct calling on municipal and governmental entities
o Municipal advisors, bond counsel and other centers of influence
o Equipment vendors
Assessing the credit quality of customers and prospects
Structuring and pricing comprehensive financing proposals
Assisting in the underwriting and documentation of awarded transactions
Shepherding awarded/approved transactions through the funding process
Sourcing for cross-sell opportunities with other bank partners
Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development
A demonstrated understanding of municipal credit structures including general obligation pledges, revenue pledges, and agreements subject to annual appropriation.
A work history that includes the marketing of financial products including lease-purchase agreements, installment sales contracts, direct-purchase bonds & notes, and other privately-placed financing structures.
A familiarity with tax-exempt lending arrangements to municipal borrowers.
Experience in working with other municipal financial professionals including bankers, municipal financial advisors and bond counsel.
Successful history of calling on municipal, governmental and corporate entities including the crafting and presentation of sales proposals.
