This Renewable Energy Finance specialist will work with renewable energy project developers to develop and maintain a profitable renewable energy finance portfolio of assets. Responsibilities include pre-screening opportunities, structuring and pricing. This specialist will look for cross sell opportunities for other bank partners, prepare deal preview packages, and work with other colleagues to document opportunities in accordance with internal and external regulations.

Independently and in collaboration with others, this colleague will develop and maintain a profitable loan portfolio by:

  • Calling and networking in an effort to develop qualified financing opportunities for the Group through the following channels:

o Huntington's Banking Relationship Managers

o Direct calling on municipal and governmental entities

o Municipal advisors, bond counsel and other centers of influence

o Equipment vendors

  • Assessing the credit quality of customers and prospects

  • Structuring and pricing comprehensive financing proposals

  • Assisting in the underwriting and documentation of awarded transactions

  • Shepherding awarded/approved transactions through the funding process

  • Sourcing for cross-sell opportunities with other bank partners

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated understanding of municipal credit structures including general obligation pledges, revenue pledges, and agreements subject to annual appropriation.

  • A work history that includes the marketing of financial products including lease-purchase agreements, installment sales contracts, direct-purchase bonds & notes, and other privately-placed financing structures.

  • A familiarity with tax-exempt lending arrangements to municipal borrowers.

  • Experience in working with other municipal financial professionals including bankers, municipal financial advisors and bond counsel.

  • Successful history of calling on municipal, governmental and corporate entities including the crafting and presentation of sales proposals.

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a part time, on-call Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to support our bioenergy / waste to energy pursuits and projects. This position reports through our Pittsburgh, PA office. The focus of this position will be on commercial/industrial client programs in the U.S. and Canada, but may also include support related to our Federal and State and Local programs and international projects. Desired qualifications for the position include: * Minimum of 15 years of experience with directing, managing, technical direction, and implementing: oIdentification and spearhead the development and implementation of clean, renewable energy solutions (generation of heat, power, and/or fuel) with a specific focus on biogas, bioenergy, waste to energy [e.g., municipal solid waste (MSW), food, agricultural, forestry and/or other residues] and biomass (e.g., agricultural, forestry and other woody materials). Biogas specifically includes anaerobic digestion, biogas cleanup, and renewable natural gas (RNG) generation and thermochemical conversion (i.e., gasification, pyrolysis, etc) technologies into syngas, renewable oils, or other types of energy. oIdentification and spearhead the development and implementation of energy efficiency (i.e., optimization and/or minimization of energy usage) projects. * Previous experience serving in a management and/or technical role with industry in corporate and/or commercial facilities. * Experience with both U.S. and international projects. Periodic travel to project sites for meetings, audits, or other activities may be required. Essential duties and responsibilities include: * Provide support in review and/or staff member role to on-going and new projects focused on biogas, bioenergy, waste to energy, and biomass energy generation. * Support and/or lead all aspects of our bioenergy / waste to energy program. These include resource/feedstock assessment, project due diligence, feasibility studies, innovative technology evaluation/implementation, financial analysis, site identification/planning, policy evaluation, permitting, design, build, and operation. * Utilization of process, mechanical, chemical engineering, design, and operation of energy and/or water/sludge/material treatment systems. Duties may include, but not limited to MSW handling/sorting, industrial water treatment, nutrient treatment/removal, biogas cleanup, and compression. * Conduct visual and verbal presentations to internal and external clients focused on report conclusions (analyses summary, conclusions, and recommendations) and training others. * Utilize expertise (technical, logistical, regulatory, and finance) to assess project value. * Utilize conventional approaches to present innovative cost saving solutions to clients. * Work with and build relationships with public, commercial, or international customers by managing and executing tasks and delivering high quality client products and services. * Use familiarity with existing clients, clean energy developers, other consultants, and investors to identify new clients and business opportunities and execute them. * Support project and business development activities, proposal generation, market assessments, and strategic planning on an as-requested basis by management. Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Engineering; Minimum of 15 years of experience in energy generation for industry. A minimum of 10 years consulting experience in renewable or clean energy and a minimum of 5 years in bioenergy/waste to energy is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have direct industry experience with bioenergy / waste to energy and specifically material handling and conversion of organic materials via various types of anaerobic digestion and utilization of biogas to generate heat, power, and/or fuel.
