Responsibilities

  • Support business development initiatives for the Boston market.

  • Strategically identify opportunities with owners, developers, architectural & engineering firms.

  • Secure meetings with high-level decision-makers.

  • Manage a territory with specific targeted prospective clients.

  • Drive new revenue growth across all sectors throughout your territory.

  • Work with operational leadership to create an effective strategy that moves prospects through the sales process efficiently and effectively.

  • Develop and implement strategy to support New England business development.

  • Track all new opportunities and potential client leads in Cosential CRM.

  • Attend local industry meetings, events, and conferences in order to build network; participate in a leadership capacity in industry organizations.

  • Stay abreast of current market conditions and opportunities for new business.

  • Work with marketing group to advise on the preparation of qualifications, proposals, and presentations for potential clients.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-7 years' of success within sales and business development.

  • Experience with a CRM, work with Cosential is a plus.

  • Experience networking within the architecture, real estate, construction, or engineering industry.

  • Existing relationships with decision makers within the AEC industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • You are a hunter who enjoys driving revenue and generating new business.

  • You are an accountable and results-oriented team player with a commitment to achieving goals.

  • Proven track record of performing consistently in the top of your sales force.

  • Executive-level selling experience.

  • Proven track record of opening new doors and establishing new partnerships.

  • You value a listening and consultative sales approach based on understanding and problem-solving.

  • Your sales strategies reject the old methods of over-talking, persuading, and convincing.

In this role, you will identify new opportunities and drive revenue growth by researching, profiling, and qualifying leads. And because our start-up’s team is very lean, this person will also develop a deep expertise of our target industries and perform product demos. Success is not simply defined as setting up the demo, but rather, the development of an ongoing consultative relationship that creates a loyal customer.</p> <p>Position Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Research and identify prospects in our target markets using online sources, and our CRM based on high-value prospect profiles</li> <li>Maintain a steady cadence of email and phone communication (sales playbook) to those prospects that educate our prospects and pique their interest, and increase conversions</li> <li>Make up to 80 calls a day, and constantly hone scripts based to improve effectiveness</li> <li>Maintain pipeline accountability and transparency via robust prospect profiles and records of activity within our CRM. Share progress and challenges openly to team during weekly management meetings</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Become adept at challenging a prospect's objections and existing business practices.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Desired Skills and Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales experience in the software industry.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to interact with people successfully over the phone, to lead or persuade, overcome challenges or organize activity</li> <li>Disciplined approach to daily activity planning, setting goals and achieving success</li> <li>Enthusiastic and self-starting approach</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)</li> <li>Ability to take direction, be coached, and mentored</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong presence and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Cold calling and customer service experience is essential</li> <li>Experience in a start-up environment, SaaS company and/or the real estate industry a plus!</li> <li>Experience using CRMs such as Hubspot or Salesforce, and webinar/screen sharing tools such as GoToMeeting or Zoom, a must.
