Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid-South region and has been in business since 1987. We are located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi and approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.

Director of Assessment and Referral

Full-time

The Director of Assessment and Referral assumes responsibility for the functioning of the Needs Assessment and Outreach services. Maintains the quality of the assessment and admission services provided through policies, procedures, PI, and the supervision of assessors and ancillary staff.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill in provision of services to varied population of patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

Education:

Master's Degree required in a behavioral health field

Experience:

Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.

Licensure/Certification:

Licensure required (LPC, LMSW, LCSW, RN)

CPR Certification Required

Knowledge:

Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
