JOB DESCRIPTION Yuma Union High School District #70 Director Purpose Statement The job of Director - is done for the purpose/s of supporting the Executive Director/Chief of Department and staff. The position will be specific to monitoring, planning and executing necessary functions for the purpose of maintaining service and compliance of the Department while assisting the Executive Director/Cheif of Department.

This job reports to the Executive Director/Chief of Department. Essential Functions Acts in place of Executive Director/Chief of Department - for the purpose of ensuring continuity of operations. Directs department operations management for the purpose of management of personnel, resource allocation and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Organizes and directs staff for the purpose of delivering on-time, high-quality, high-availability solutions and services. Reviews the work of staff for the purpose of assuring the work quality and timely completion of assigned duties and responsibilities is in compliance with district, state and federal regulations and standards where applicable. Monitors operations and manages projects to increase efficiency and effectiveness of services for the purpose of improving operations and streamlining work processes.

Participates in meetings, workshops, webinars and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications Skills and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: developing and administering budgets; operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications; planning and managing multiple projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; and training, developing and supervising staff. ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; often gather, collate, and/or classify data; and consider a number of factors when using equipment.

Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of varied types and/or purposes; and utilize a wide variety of types of job-related equipment. Problem solving with data frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is significant. Required Testing Certificates N/A N/A Continuing Educ./Training Clearances As Needed Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance FLSA Status Approval Date Salary Range Exempt 06/10/2020 VI (Administrative Support Placement Schedule) Addendum to Director (Assessment and Accountability) The position of Director - Assessment and Accountability provides leadership and coordination to ensure efficient implementation of the assessments, accountability, and data analysis programming for YUHSD. The director is responsible for the overall integrity, compliance, and security of the testing processes throughout the district in accordance with guidelines described by the Arizona Department of Education and the test vendors.

Other duties as assigned but not limited to: Coordinates all planning and procedures related to the administration of district and state assessments. Develops an assessment calendar, along with protocols, manuals, and reports to support testing requirements.

Develops, implements, and oversees campus-wide training, guidance, professional development, and workshops for schools with the purpose of ensuring knowledge of test administration, security of test materials, data analysis and interpretation, and performance reporting. Ensures compliance with federal and state assessment and accountability requirements. Collaborates regularly with schools to lead a continual cycle of assessments.

Meets with appropriate school personnel to plan testing and inform of district and state assessment policies and procedures, timelines, security, confidentiality, test ethics, and corrective actions for violations. Collaborates with the technology department in the evaluation of testing platforms, software, hardware, and policies that support high quality assessment and accountability programs. Generates reports to identify special populations and support schools with the integration of all testing data into systems and testing platforms.

Oversees the ordering and use of all local and state assessment materials. Receives, inventories, and distributes materials to schools, while ensuring the secure return of materials to appropriate agencies. Serves as a liaison between YUHSD, the Arizona Department of Education's assessment and accountability departments, and the U.S.

Department of Education. Collaborates with the teaching and learning department for the purpose of analyzing assessment data, identifying program strengths, and areas of enhancement and improvement. Collects and validates assessment data and shares with district stakeholders.

Assists schools in interpreting assessment data reports. Conducts surveys to identify district and School assessment needs, analyze results, and present findings to multiple audiences. Participates in state and district level coordination, evaluation, review, and development committees. Serves as the primary point of contact for YUHSD regarding accountability deadlines and submissions. *INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY " />
