We are looking for a leader to take us to the next level as a Director of Architecture at JPMorgan Chase. Take the reins of a specific area of architecture and make a meaningful impact at one of the world's most influential companies.

As a Director of Architecture at JPMorgan Chase within the Digital Channels Team you lead a specific area of architecture and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of architecture applications, processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and a driver of innovation to achieve the target state architecture goals.

Digital Architecture is responsible for providing strategic and practical leadership to the application, product and business development teams in the Digital product domains. The team is also responsible for leadership in DevOps and engineering delivery practices and tooling, further enabling application teams to delight the business and Chase's customers.

Job responsibilities

• Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional architecture objectives

• Makes and is accountable for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures

• Conducts governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations

• Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience, and 5+ years of experience leading technologists in managing, anticipating, and solving complex technical issues within the candidate's domain of expertise.

• Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of architects

• Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent

• Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager

• Practical cloud native experience with AWS

• Experience with Digital Transformation and in guiding business partners through customer journey creation

• Experience creating Event-driven architecture and common events

• Experience with API design and management

• Proven ability to successfully lead through influence, data and sound architecture recommendations

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience working at code level
• AI/ML experience is a value add
