The Director of Aquatics is responsible for directing all aspects of aquatics services and programming including but not limited to operations, planning, budgeting, staffing and payroll. Senior level position, which must ensure guest and employee satisfaction is achieved while maintaining profitability within the aquatics function.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed, realistic, and comprehensive plans that support organizational objectives, effectively allocating resources and time across groups or departments

  • Fiscal and budgetary management of aquatic operations including creating and maintaining departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports as needed; reviewing and approving all purchases for the department

  • Participate and collaborate on cross-functional teams in order to effectively coordinate resort activities

  • Monitor, manage and respond to guest comments and proactively addressing guest comments with operational resolutions

  • Conduct investigative actions with guests, where necessary, for guest service and liability claims

  • Develop, implement, and monitor schedules for the waterpark operation

  • Recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating team member performance against standards; including evaluation of compensation changes

  • Plan and implement staff training and development programs within the department

  • Participates in the Manager-On-Duty (MOD) program and executes duties

  • Describes and assign responsibility and authority for the operation of the department

  • Monitor mechanical equipment and reports any problems to Engineering for repair by submitting work orders for repairs immediately to ensure effective waterpark operations

  • Serve on resort Executive Committee to represent the interests of the waterpark and safety programs

  • Enforce policies and procedures; maintain a working knowledge of general and departmental safety procedures. Attends safety training programs and in-service education as required

  • Oversee Risk Management and Safety programs

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Experience creating and maintaining documents with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing large aquatics department with various waterpark attractions

  • Ellis & Associates (E&A) International Lifeguard Training Program license

  • E&A Basic Leadership Training License

  • E&A Instructor License

  • Experience in First Aid, CPR, and AED

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) license

  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed

Desired Qualifications & Traits

  • Emergency Medical Technician or other medical background

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve conflict

  • Committed to comprehensive and in-depth analysis, planning, and implementation of every work effort

Physical Requirements

  • Swim 50 yards in 4 ft. of water and retrieve a 10 lb brick from the bottom of pool

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Extended exposure to hot and humid environments.

  • Climb multiple flights of stairs

VIEW JOBS 1/7/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-04-07T00:00 Description The Director of Enterprise Security will oversee the Enterprise Security Fusion Center and partner with senior management and other security and operations stakeholders to ensure that critical Paychex information and assets are protected. The Director of Enterprise Security will lead a pillar consisting of multiple teams responsible for consolidating and monitoring security data feeds throughout the enterprise, initiating the incident response process, and managing varying degrees of threat management activities. The Director of Enterprise Security will also be responsible for continual improvement, incident prioritization, and tool optimization. The person in this role will develop and implement policies and procedures for the Enterprise Security Fusion Cener and ensure adherence by the staff. This position will report to the Vice President of Information Security. In addition to leadership of the Enterprise Security Fusion Center, the Director of Enterprise Security will serve as Chief of Staff for the Enterprise Security department, oversee the Security Analytics function, mentor three senior managers, manage key relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers, and step in for the Vice President of Information Security as needed. The successful candidate will have at least a decade of progressive technology leadership experience and be a thought leader in the cyber security space. * Oversees the Enterprise Security Fusion Center leadership team and partners closely with key stakeholders to ensure critical Paychex information and assets are protected. * Leads and sets strategic vision for the 24x7x365 Enterprise Security Fusion Center (ESFC), focused on monitoring, alerting, triage, and reporting of potential security incidents and incident response function. * Drives continuous development and refinement of the Enterprise Security Fusion Center structure, operating model, cyber incident response plan, and activities. * Proactively researches and recommends courses of action to senior leadership to prevent and manage security incidents. * Develops and maintains metrics that report on the overall security posture of the enterprise in terms that the business can understand and acts to improve the state of security at Paychex. * Builds and / or continuously matures each team within of the Enterprise Security Fusion Center (ESFC), which includes threat hunt, cyber threat intelligence, threat detection (signature and machine learning algorithm development and refinement), security investigations, insider threat detection, incident response, and digital forensics. * Manages the partnerships with Paychex's managed security service provider (MSSP), managed detection and response (MDR) provider, external threat intelligence providers, the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), law enforcement agencies, and other strategic third-party partners. * Looks for opportunities to automate security operations playbooks through technologies such as security orchestration and automated response (SOAR) and improve anomaly detection through technologies such as supervised and unsupervised machine learning. * Establishes metrics, key performance indicators, and service level agreements for driving the performance of the Enterprise Security department. * Defines and communicates the department's vision and mission. Establishes annual goals and plans strategies to meet Paychex's and Enterprise Security's objectives. * Leads the Enterprise Security Fusion Center leadership team in ensuring employee development, conducting performance appraisals, developing goals, managing compensation, administering training and coaching, and improving team performance in order to enhance the team's overall effectiveness. * Monitors key performance indicators, determines gaps in performance metrics, predicts trends, and recommends and initiates improvements. * Serves as the Chief of Staff for the Enterprise Security department, managing key relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers, mentoring the other senior managers in the department. and stepping in for the Vice President of Information Security as needed.
