About the Opportunity

Epsilon's Analytic Consulting Group is seeking a Director of Analytics to join its fast-paced, growing team. The Analytic Consulting Group partners with internal and external clients and data providers, leveraging predictive analytics and advanced statistical techniques to drive strategic thought and effective decision making. The Director provides a clear, strategic vision and a plan for bringing actionable, innovative analytic solutions to market and responsible for translating raw data into insights that prove or disprove marketing hypotheses. He or she is responsible for the analytics strategy and tactics for a significant book of business

Essential Functions

Thought Leadership

  • Provides strategic recommendations and analytic vision (at higher levels) to clients based on analysis findings/roadmaps

  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights and the "why" that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities

  • Manages analytic projects, including profitability, timeliness, quality, and client value

  • Proactively identifies business needs, and develops actionable project plans to serve them

  • Serves as primary client contact on all phases of the analytic project from problem definition through presentation, appropriately managing client expectations throughout the project

  • Contributes to the development of new product and service offerings

Strong Communication Skills

  • Communicates complex analytical results, and corresponding implications to both internal and external clients in a manner that will be easily understood

  • Creates compelling presentations to tell the analytic story, demonstrating value by providing actionable insights with recommendations

Team Leadership

  • Collaborates with peer managers to effectively manage team resources in order to produce high quality deliverables

  • Holds associates accountable for their work by setting expectations, achieving commitments, providing feedback, and evaluating effectiveness

  • Continuously focuses on ways to improve efficiencies and quality control within the group

Technical Expertise

  • Identifies and seeks improvement for current systems/methodologies, and applies industry best practices (techniques/ideas/trends)

  • Provides technical leadership in the organization

Knowledge & Skills

  • Effective and creative problem solver, able to challenge conventional approaches

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Able to solve complex problems and issues

  • Excellent knowledge of direct marketing

  • Excellent project management, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline

  • Deep knowledge of Primary and secondary Market Research

  • A minimum of 8 years professional hands-on experience translating analytics including statistical modeling, data mining, and advanced segmentation into actionable insights

  • A minimum of 5 years proven managerial or supervisory experience

  • Telecomm or B2B marketing experience/knowledge

  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills

  • Hands-on programming experience in SAS, SPSS, or related language

  • Ability to think strategically and 'big picture'

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand the client's business situation and develop data driven insights that can be understood and implemented to drive marketing strategies

  • Align to the overall business strategy when driving the direction of the team, projects, and processes

  • Provide overall direction to the development of advanced analytic solutions and strategies to new and existing clients

  • Formulate insights, championing and driving insights into action

  • Provide developmental and managerial leadership to the Analytic Consulting Group

Technical Requirements

  • Programming experience in SAS, SPSS or related language, including in newer and emerging languages such as R and Python;

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and visualization packages

We are looking for an experienced HR Analytics and Master Data Management Director within our service delivery center to join our team in our Atlanta office. The focus for this People Leader will be to drive the increased use of industry wide master data management best practices, advanced data analytics, emerging automation technology opportunities and harmonized reporting data across Delta. This role will enable HR data intelligence and achieve HR data excellence. The expectation for this role is to bring critical emerging technology capabilities in data, analytics, and machine learning to enable the ability to consume, utilize, and report driving key insights across Delta. Primary Functions: Create a community of practice which includes Stakeholders from across the functions and business to bring world class capabilities in data gathering, security, permissions, and application. Drive and optimize programs for HR data collection, maintenance, and reporting while demonstrating a strong understanding of the various systems that house HR data as well as the integration between those systems. Partner with functional HR leaders to understand business challenges, predict business needs, and develop workforce insights, providing a cohesive Function which enables a one-stop shop for HR reporting and analytics. Provide strategic guidance to build a capability within HRSD of automation and machine learning implementation, seeking ways to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting. Implement new and technology enabled ways to gather information and analyze, interpret, and summarize data to deliver strategic business insights. Develop standards and packaged deliverables for Delta operational reporting with the impact and insights delivered for appropriate levels of the organization. Deliver multiple data views and reporting based on audience level. Partner with the HRIS and IT teams to continuously look for process improvements in processes to effectively support business operations and end-user needs. Closely work with all HRSD functions (such as Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting & Onboarding) and Identity Management Leaders to provide needed data, analytics, and support in automation as an internal consultant. Responsible for continuously building and managing business relationships with customers and various stakeholders, while implementing processes to achieve high levels of customer service. Prepare and manage departmental budgets and expenses, responsible for delivery projects and programs on time and within budget. Develops both strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety & well-being. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business, technology, or equivalent with at least 10+ years of work experience. Must have experience with selection, implementation and management of HR technologies, vendor management, HR data management and HR analytics, complex project management and people management. Experience in enterprise-wide reporting including historic trend analysis, real-time data dashboards, and future predictive analytics.
