Position Summary
The Director of Analytics will be responsible for transforming the organization to make better information-based decisions. Based in Cleveland, Ohio. This is an on-site role seated in our global corporate headquarters. The successful candidate will be required to travel 30% to start and taper to 20%.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Design and oversee the implementation of the company data warehouse.
Identify and prioritize sources.
Develop standard definitions of common business entities (e.g. customer), critical fields, and
measures (e.g. volume) / data dictionary.
Design methods to link and normalize data from disparate sources.
Oversee the implementation of the processes and logic to extract, transform, and load data
Into the data warehouse.
Define access "who can see what information" policies.
On an ongoing basis integrate additional sources (including data from organizations acquired)
Work with business leaders to design and develop scorecards and dashboards and exception reporting.
Determine requirements, select, and implement reporting tool(s) such that different classes of users can use the streamlined data for predefined and ad-hoc reporting, as well as additional analysis.
Work with business leaders to assist in creating methods and tools to leverage advanced analytics in opportunity identification and decision making.
Build team / interact cross functionally as required.
Requirements
Experience and Education
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or data science field; Masters preferred.
Experience for at least 10 years doing the following.
Designing and developing data warehouses for businesses
Leading an analytics function; function where analytics is a key component of the deliverable.
The ideal candidate will have successfully built an analytics function in a similar environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work cross-functionality in some cases in a position of influence without authority.
Deep experience with SQL, MS SQL Server, Tableau (or comparable reporting tool)
Gaming experience a plus
