The Director of Admissions is responsible for the leadership of undergraduate admissions and recruitment designed to attract and enroll a talented, diverse student population to Nebraska. This individual will guide the work of almost 60 staff members - including those within the Office of Admissions and those embedded in the academic units - and will oversee a budget of approximately $4.5 million dollars. The successful candidate will be collaborative, transparent, innovative, and entrepreneurial, with the vision and confidence to serve as a campus leader and a willingness to take calculated risks to engage students and families in new ways.
The director will serve as an internal leader and the authority on all admissions decisions and processing for the Office of Admissions and external voice for the value of a Nebraska degree. The director of admissions also serves as the residency officer for incoming and current undergraduate students at the university.
Reporting to the associate vice chancellor of academic services and enrollment management (ASEM), the director will be a key member of ASEM's leadership team and other academic and student affairs committees on-campus, representing the division to the university and the public.
The director of admissions reports to the associate vice chancellor of academic services and enrollment management; this professional will be responsible for approximatley 60 team members, with direct supervision of 5 staff members.
