Duties
St. Francis High School in Wheaton, IL seeks a creative, energetic, and results-oriented professional to serve as its Director of Admissions.
The Director of Admissions is responsible for all aspects of the admissions process for grades 9-12 including developing and implementing recruitment strategy; shepherding students and families through the admissions process; tracking and reviewing candidate applications; generating final admission decisions; recruiting newly admitted students to enroll; and engaging in effective community outreach to expand the school's excellent reputation in the region. The Director will lead a collaborative effort to develop and implement both short-term and long-term recruitment strategies to ensure SFHS meets enrollment objectives.
The Director of Admissions performs all duties and responsibilities in a professional manner and acts in accordance with the policies, procedures, and mission of St. Francis High School. The Director of Admissions is appointed by and reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Student Life.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, manages, and executes a comprehensive recruitment plan and calendar with the purpose of promoting the school's visibility and general recruitment efforts.
Develops an effective marketing and communications plan to reach target markets, adhering to all branding and key messaging strategies.
Coordinates recruitment and admissions materials, working with internal staff and/or outside vendors, when
Develops a school visitation program (i.e., campus tours, ) for prospective students and families.
Plan, manage, and execute the school's open house and other admissions events (i.e., Entrance Exam, Registration, Middle School Nights, etc.).
Assists school administration with orientation program for new and transfer
Serve as co-moderator of SALT: recruit, organize, and train student ambassadors for outreach and admissions events; lead bi-monthly meetings.
Develops and maintains close working relationships with key middle school
Develops a regional recruitment program for middle school principals, counselors, and teachers, as well as pastors and Directors of Religious Education.
Responsible for all recruitment visitations to partner
Establishes and publishes criteria and notification process for admissions decisions status of
Coordinates and trains faculty and parent volunteers to assist and represent the school
Collaborate with the Principal and Admissions Review Committee in the admission process for incoming freshman and transfer students, and re-enrollment of current students; evaluates and executes admission decisions on applicant files.
Establishes and publishes criteria and notification process for admissions decisions status of
Represent the school at various gatherings and
Serve as primary contact for families in the admission process including inquiry and ongoing
Develop and administer the admissions budget and ensure that programs are cost effective and that funds are managed properly.
Monitors statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management forecasting, and operational
Train, supervise, and evaluate all admissions department
Remain current and knowledgeable of trends in the fields of admissions and
Performs other duties as
Qualifications
Requisite Experience & Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant area (advanced degree a plus). St. Francis High School granted degree is
Previous progressive leadership experience in high school or college admissions, school administration, or sales and marketing.
Proven success in strengthening enrollment or membership or increasing market share by creating and implementing a systematic and strategic approach toward generation of new applicants or clients.
Ability to effectively communicate in person and in
Excellent public speaking
Ability to work in a collegial manner within a team or educational
Possess high energy, attention to detail, ability to organize effectively, and achievement
High level analytical and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to plan
Blackbaud experience
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel and work nights and weekends as
