The DJ Ad Analytics team is focused on driving revenue growth by delivering unique insights to advertisers for very ad campaign and creating distinct, affluent audience segments that achieve our advertisers' goals.

The DJ Ad Analytics team is looking for innovative thinkers who want to explore new technologies in the automation space. Team members are effective communicators and thrive on cross-team collaborations to build great products that deliver big business impacts at global scale that are highly visible at the firm.

The Director

  • Advertising Analytics Tools role is within the Customer Data group reporting into the Director of Ad Data. This role will be pivotal to developing the data strategy and analytical environment for all B2B businesses with Advertising being first and foremost.
  • Bachelor's degree (business or technical major preferred)

  • 5+ years of work experience, preferably with digital businesses.

  • 1+ yrs experience developing managing multi-stage projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Management of multiple resources a must

  • Experience with offshore resources a major plus

  • Experience with data analytics systems (relational databases, dashboarding tools)

  • Experience with big data platforms (Hadoop, AWS, Spark, NoSQL) a plus

  • Heavy Tableau experience necessary (3+ years of Development)

  • Business Analysis skill set key to this role

Responsibilities Include:

  • Project manage a team of Tableau Developers to manage and develop the Ad Data front-end systems

  • Execute all new projects and development requests from the business community in this BI layer

  • Provide visibility to Customer Data management on the progress of the initiatives

  • Storytell the new functionality to the stakeholder groups

  • Manage the financials of the group from a capitalization and operational expenditure standpoint

  • Evangelize the data to the adjacent groups to drive adoption

Through rigorous analysis of rich field medical data, he/she ultimately helps leaders in the Medical function make more informed business decisions and quantify Medical's impact. He/she is a member of BMS's growing Medical Analytics team, which is part of the company's broader Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A) function. The Medical Value & Insights Lead, Field Medical focuses predominantly on analyzing and presenting field medical data to facilitate strategic decision-making and help quantify the impact of Medical. This includes data from Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) and Field Medical Excellence, as well as other data sources. He/She is the "go to" source for Field Medical leaders and serves as an ambassador of the Medical Analytics team to the rest of the organization, working to connect field medical analytics and insights with home office strategy and tactics. His/her day-to-day responsibilities include: understanding stakeholders' key objectives, needs, and challenges; conducting statistical analysis; extracting valuable and actionable insights from datasets; identifying emerging trends; designing compelling stories with analytics/insights that facilitate stakeholder decision-making; identifying creative ways to analyze and present analytics; proactively anticipating stakeholders' needs; managing vendor relationships; continuously looking for ways to measure and demonstrate the business impact delivered by field medical. Key Responsibilities and Major Duties * Serve as the "go to" contact for data analytics for Field Medical and Field Medical Excellence Leads and Medical Analytics ambassador to the rest of the organization * Work with Field Medical and Field Medical Excellence Leads to understand their business objectives, challenges, and data analytics requests/needs * Develop creative, outcomes-driven analyses addressing key stakeholder needs—both reactively and proactively * Proactively identify emerging trends * Analyze Field Medical data to drive performance and show impact * Analyze Field Medical Excellence data to inform the development of training programs and business solutions to further drive field medical performance * Analyze Field Medical Insights in partnership with the advanced analytics team and BIA commercial teams, especially in markets * Consolidate Field Medical insights with insights from different sources and communicate results in a timely manner through executive summaries * Analyze and communicate highly critical insights and trends from Field Medical and perform additional root-cause analysis with key stakeholders * Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders and with vendors to deliver results on time and on budget * Share Field Medical Insights, best practices and learnings across the Field Medical community globally List of minimum requirements * Advanced degree in scientific (MS, PharmD, PhD) or technical field (engineering, statistics, mathematics); MBA preferred but not required * 5 or more years' experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, financial or data/technology industries in delivering operational analytics that drive decision making * Experience in Field Force and Performance Analytics preferred * Experience in Medical Affairs and or Field Medical highly regarded * Understanding of Medical Affairs and Field Medical * Ability to understand stakeholders' business requests and needs * Deep understanding of how to use data to answer critical business questions and develop creative solutions * Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate and draw insights on quality metrics and interconnections with operational metrics * Ability to differentiate robust from incomplete data * Ability to efficiently synthetize a large amount of information into key insights and communicate them effectively * Understanding of advanced analytics techniques, including simulation/predictive analytics, managing structured and unstructured data, etc. * Experience working successfully in a matrix organization, including articulating value propositions, balancing trade-offs and managing demand * Excellence in both written and oral communication * Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders and influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement * Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to the changing needs of the organization * Ability to adapt and reprioritize in a rapidly changing environment * Software that must be used independently and without assistance (e.g., Microsoft Suite) * Software: * Excel (advanced proficiency) * Power Point (advanced proficiency) * Microsoft Office * Predictive analytic software and methodologies (SAS, R, data mining, visualization tools/techniques, etc) highly regarded but not necessary Bristol Myers Squibb Princeton NJ
