As Director of Accounting Services, you will play a key role in helping the company launch and then grow a new business services offering. This position is responsible for a variety of impactful, highly strategic work tasks and process development. In this role, you will hire, develop and lead an remote group of international team members to excel in all levels of customer service and financial goals as well as partner with internal stakeholders to create efficient business processes and refined workflows.

Essential Functions

  • Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives that have the potential to create tremendous value for the company.
  • Maintain constant communication, overseeing, and evaluating third party vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in the development and launch of new small business Accounting and Tax services.
  • Remain abreast of tax law, and corresponding with Federal, state, and local tax agencies on behalf of our clients.
  • Ensure all financial reporting is accurate and complies with established accounting procedures and policies.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients, agencies, and coworkers to promote a quality service image.
  • Research and resolve accounting-related questions, concerns, and problems for clients in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Hire, train and develop international remote team members.
  • Perform other duties as required.


  • Must be 18 years of age
  • 8+ years leading a Bookkeeping and Tax operation
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Management or Accounting preferred
  • Experience leading international and/or remote teams preferred
  • Strong strategic finance acumen
  • Attention to detail
  • Curiosity and drive to learn
  • Ability and willingness to perform all functions of the team such as bookkeeping, accounting, and tax work, especially in the beginning stages of growing the department and team
  • Ability to have difficult conversations with clients while maintaining professional demeanor

The internship program will immerse you in the high-tech semiconductor industry working with Finance high-performing teams to drive meaningful change in our organization. Through this internship, you will continue to expand your capabilities while being challenged with rigorous work and with the opportunity to grow your network. Your work will include a defined project directly supporting the organization's key initiatives. The Corporate Accounting team has prepared for you a project with defined objectives and an assigned mentor. You will receive feedback on your performance and will have a chance to showcase your project through a final presentation to the Finance leaders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures * Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing * Deliver analytical insights into business drivers and performance * Assist with process optimization for more effective and efficient business processes * Create innovative solutions to complex problems in accounting, compliance, and project management * Collaborate and build partnerships across Finance * Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned * Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company * Substantiate results on assigned project through presentations and written reports Qualifications: * Must be actively pursuing a Graduate Level or MBA course of study with emphasis in Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or Accounting * Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment * A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) * Position is expected to be approximately 40 hours per week, but less during the academic year * Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship About Micron Technology, Inc.
