ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for a leader to be responsible for the overall accounting functions of the company including timely and accurate financial statements, internal controls, cash management, and adherence to policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have the attitude and ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and be able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with a professional, positive demeanor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead financial reporting function (Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial statements), ensuring accuracy and timeliness (BS, P&L and Cash Flow)

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, including AP/AR functions, GL analysis and tax and lease accounting in line with accounting best practices.

• Assist with treasury management including cash flow, compliance certificates and manage banking relationships.

• Supervise all year-end tax entries and reporting requirements.

• Maintain accurate financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, end of month journal entries, and expense accruals, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws and regulations.

• Serve as a liaison for external audit committees; ensure thorough and timely audit completions.

• Identify solutions to discrepancies in financial records and opportunities for process improvements and automation.

• Implement and maintain financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Lead, mentor and develop high performing team. Foster a collaborative culture of continuous learning.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS*:

• 10+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role (preferably in an entrepreneurial or high-growth environment)

• Proficiency with accounting and ERP software (Great Plains preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience

• CPA highly desired

• Position is based out of Minneapolis, MN headquarters with a flexible working environment/schedule (no full-time remote work available)
