Genoa operates more than 450 pharmaciesacross 46 States and the District of Columbia, with plans to open an additional50 to 60 pharmacies over the next year.

We are seeking a Director ofAccounting and Reporting to lead the accounting function. This position is located at Genoa's corporate headquarters inRenton, WA.

Major Duties and


Under general supervision of the VP Controller, the Director ofAccounting and Reporting will be responsible for the month-end close cycle, consolidatedfinancial reporting, internal financial reporting, and technical accountingmatters.

  • Provideoverall leadership to the Accounting team. Attract, recruit and develop talent that supports the overall growth ofthe business.

  • Responsiblefor execution of core accounting cycles, including:

  • Revenue/AccountsReceivable

  • CashAccounting

  • Inventory/COGS

  • FixedAssets

  • PayrollAccounting

  • LeaseAccounting

  • IntercompanyAccounting

  • Maintaininternal financial statements (consolidated financial statements; sitefinancial statements).

  • Provide analytical support to the CFO and VP Controllerregarding financial results and trends.

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reportingprocesses.

  • Provide guidance, documentation and support related totechnical accounting matters.

  • Lead the implementation of new accounting policies.

  • Create, evaluate and upgrade existing accounting policies.

  • Lead accounting due diligence and integration of acquiredbusinesses.

  • Support and lead key initiatives of the Finance/Accounting organization,and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives for the Companyusing a service-oriented approach.

  • Lead efforts to understand and implement new accounting standards.

  • Drive accounting integration activities with OptumRx


  • Bachelor'sDegree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.

  • 8 yearsrelevant experience.

  • Strongbackground and skills in technical accounting/reporting and internalcontrols.

  • Big Fourpublic accounting background strongly preferred.

  • Comprehensiveand current understanding of GAAP and SEC rules and demonstrated abilityto apply such knowledge to practical situations.

  • Experiencewith mergers and acquisitions preferred, from both a due diligence andpurchase accounting perspective.

  • Ability toestablish relationships across the management team and organization and towork collaboratively.

  • Ability toeffectively manage and leverage outside consultants and independentauditors.

  • Results-drivenindividual who does whatever it takes to succeed and loves a challenge.

  • Strongpresentation skills and effective communicator capable of explainingconcepts clearly and credibly across all levels of the organization.

  • Hands onapproach balanced with big picture understanding can transition quicklyfrom tactical to strategic

  • Strong teamplayer, results oriented, metrics driven and capable of working in a fastpaced, changing environment.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage various work assignmentsin a fast paced environment.

  • Experience with Great Plains, PeopeSoft and Blackline a plus.
