Salary Grade - GN14 - Recruitment Range - $51,895.00 - $88,221.00

This posting is for an anticipated vacancy with a projected start date to be after December 1, 2018.

This posting is open to current employees of the Department of Public Safety or former employees of the Department of Public Safety with active RIF rights.

This position is based in Raleigh, NC and may require 25-50% travel including day and overnight trips. Working hours are first shift with a start time to be established between 7:30 am and 8:30 am and end time between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

The Director of Accountability for Juvenile Justice Education Services will:

  • collaborate with DJJ central office and facility-level, and other stakeholders to improve the outcomes of our students
  • provide leadership to ensure the juvenile justice schools are effective and compliant in their instructional practices
  • collect and dissemenate local, state and national level data to drive school and district-level improvement efforts
  • coordinate, facilitate, and/or conduct local and/or state-wide meetings and professional learning opportunities
  • facilitates orientation and support programs for beginning teachers, substitute teachers, and staff new to DJJ
  • provides district-level leadership for the administration of the teacher/principal evaluation system
  • serves as the liaison between DJJ Education Services and Human Resources for the licensure and salary administration of education personnel
  • serve as district-level expert in applications utilized by school-based personnel (such as PowerTeacher Pro, ECATS, Edgenuity, etc)
  • ensures compliance with state-level testing requirements (EOC, EOG, CTE, etc.)
  • manage the application and accountability process for federal grant programs (Title I, Title II, etc)
  • serve on local and/or state-level committees
  • directly supervise one or more central office staff members (and may also provide indirect/dual supervision of school-based staff)
  • carry out other professional duties as assigned to meet departmental needs

Management Prefers an applicant with:

experience as a building-level administrator

  • experience as a teacher, principal or other position in a secure setting

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Master's degree in the education field to which assigned from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of specifically related experience in public education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The NAD leads an integrated account team comprised of product and service experts, who are generally dedicated or aligned with these select customers. The NAD is the principal leader for these client relationships. They are ultimately responsible for fulfilling sales targets and cultivating the SHS relationship and performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Is responsible for the account business plan, which is developed in collaboration with fellow account team members. This account business plan becomes the primary document that prioritizes and drives the activity of the account team and provides for quantitative and qualitative measures and metrics for account success. * Account Team Leadership To effectively lead an integrated account team, a NAD must: * Understand the vision, strategy, and big picture * Have the need for attention to detail * Demonstrate a high level of personal accountability * Possess the know-how for working in a matrix environment and leading teams * Have a well-developed sense for our business * Be able to manage complexity and have the appropriate financial acumen * Be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and executive poise, since this individual will lead the efforts into the customer c-suites * Understand their role in customer advocacy, balanced with the need of the business * Have a high tolerance for ambiguity * Be comfortable with change * Be able to demonstrate prudent decision-making and sound judgment. * Serves as the "general manager" and ultimately the person responsible for the SHS relationship and sales performance. Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing or equivalent. Advanced degree in Business is highly desirable. * Location: Currently residing in the Midwest or Southeast (ideally in Illinois or North Carolina) and able to travel across the South and Midwest/Central area. Experience: * Must be able to demonstrate the ability to design, implement, and measure new business development strategies for complex products. * Must have previous experience selling healthcare data and or data analytics to Emerging Small Pharma segment. * Must be able to demonstrate consultative selling skills. * At least ten of years progressively-responsible sales experience preferably in a healthcare data or healthcare consulting. * Given the nature of our clients, it is essential that the NAD possesses a strong executive presence and ability to cultivate a client relationship across the client's organization, including the c-suite.
