We're looking for a Director of Account Management, to lead a team whose mission is to maintain effective relationships with our partner agencies.

You are:

An Account Manager with over 7 years of experience working in account management, customer success, or sales with 3+ years leading account management or customer success teams. You have previous work experience with agencies or digital marketing companies (tech experience is a must) and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are someone with a strong passion for managing, leading, coaching, training and developing team members.

As a Director of Account Management, you will:

  • Directly manage team leads and their account managers.

  • Develop and manage the post-sale customer journey for thousands of digital agencies.

  • Be responsible for the health and retention of agencies in our book of business.

  • Implement and manage an on-boarding process that increases engagement.

  • Develop strategies to increase product usage and overall customer engagement.

  • Help develop reporting and analysis of the book of business.

  • Work closely with the head of sales on overall synergy between sales and AM.

  • Help develop and implement customer growth strategies.

  • Work closely with Product teams on agency needs and roadmap.

Position summary: IHS Markit Group is looking for a consistently successful Account Manager. The ideal candidate will have sales and account management responsibility for top financial institutions. He/She will be responsible for developing and maintaining close alliances with senior client management personnel, offering recommendations through formal sales presentations and written proposals, and working with the cross functional team to negotiate and close product and solution based engagements. Will be held accountable to grow and maintain a large revenue stream. Duties & accountabilities: * Define and execute territory / account sales plans for the given territory and then meet and exceed sales goals (targets) through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities within the assigned Named Accounts. * Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales and move a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline. * Manage and track customer and transactional information in Salesforce®. * Provide your management with accurate forecast of the activity of your team. * Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including sales specialists, product support and sales engineering. * Provide initial product demonstrations and general support to prospective customers. * Nurture and expand the company's relationship with customer accounts of all sizes. * Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through Salesforce®. * Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products. * Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff. * Participate in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care. * Travel to customer locations in support of sales efforts. * Other duties as assigned. Business competencies: * Bachelor's degree required, MBA strongly preferred, 10+ years working in Sales and Account Management, with a proven track record of success. * Extensive experience working in Financial Services/Technology sector and preferably with Buy-side Customers in the Tri-State region.
