This job's overall purpose is to assess progress and make continuous improvements in online education and faculty engagement strategic initiatives. Daily oversight through project management of strategic divisional initiatives as they relate to online education and faculty engagement will be a necessary component of this job to ensure successful progress and completion of projects. As this position will manage multiple projects and engage with diverse stakeholders across the university, the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively as a team member is a critical component of the position.

Essential Functions

Operationalizes the implementation of online education and faculty engagement strategic initiatives in collaboration with the CITL, CAFÉ, and other stakeholders. Develops divisional assessment tools and surveys to collect data on programs and services in collaboration with the Office of IARE and other stakeholders.

Collaborates with the Online Student Services Specialist to engage academic departments and key online/hybrid learning support areas. Ensures the accuracy of the online education webpage and other digital communication/marketing related to online education.

Ensures the processes for quality assurance and compliance of online and hybrid learning are met.

Identifies and communicates data insights about trends and issues within the division through data reporting that is digestible and accessible. Other duties as assigned by the Associate Provost for Online Education and Faculty Development and/or the Provost.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in higher education, educational leadership or research, project or organizational management, digital marketing/communications, instructional design; or related field or discipline that integrates the skills of project management, communication and marketing, quality assurance, and compliance. At least 7 years of related professional experience including a minimum of three years of relevant job-related experience in higher education and online education.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills. Adept computer skills and software/database management are necessary. Must have attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution in higher education, educational leadership or research, project or organizational management, digital marketing/communications, instructional design with relevant experience in organizational planning, change management, and quality improvement. Certifications or substantive work experience can mitigate educational preparation in a specific discipline.

Service in a faculty role, or comparable role, that has experience with curricular design and approval processes, tenure and promotion processes, compliance and quality assurance, program assessment and survey design. Ability to effectively use Excel, OneDrive, TEAMS, audio/video conferencing systems and navigate shared file management systems.

Work Hours

Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.

  • 4:30 p.m. Additional hours if/when needed.
