The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and managing resources for the Telemetry Unit at Northeast Baptist Hospital. These responsibilities include: budget responsibility; efficient/effective resource utilization; recruitment and??effective/efficient management of assigned staff; achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement; monitoring of quality and??quantity of services; maintaining positive working relationships with staff and System departments and managers, and purchasing and??maintaining equipment. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties??as assigned. Qualifications : MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Nursing PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master Degree in Nursing, Business or Related Field MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience in discipline or specialty including Telemetry. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years progressively responsible management experience including Telemetry Unit leadership REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Specialty or Administration certification desired. REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS?Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. Security Clearance Required: No Visa Candidate Considered: No CANDIDATE DETAILS 5+ to 7 years experience Seniority Level

Education: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing Note: Current MHS employees who completed a Nursing Diploma or Associates in Nursing degree program who are currently in a Nurse Director position have until 1/1/2014 to meet BSN education requirements. Experience: * Three years recent RN acute care experience. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable). Preferred: * Master's Degree in Nursing or related field; 1-year management experience as a charge RN, clinical care manager/supervisor, or manager. Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required: * Must have current RN license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas. Must have Texas RN license within 90 days of hire.
