The Director, North America Technical Services will provide consistent technical direction and oversight to internal sites and contract manufacturing operations within the Americas region to ensure product and process reliability enabling CHSC to continuously improve Innovation, Performance and Trust aspects.

This role will give YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Enable the Americas SC to meet business targets by owning development and application of consistent technical operating practices across the Americas internal site and CMO network;

  • Lead the team of Technical Managers that support internal and external sites and partner with Category SC and R&D in the execution of new product transfers and launches, supply continuity, continuous improvement, value engineering, OEE and implementation of quality/compliance projects.

  • Lead effective and efficient application of validation, tech transfer and complex technical problem solving to enable continuous improvement on quality, cost and service across internal and CMO networks;

  • Coach, mentor and develop talent base within the Americas Technical team;

  • Ensure team and individual objectives are aligned with Innovation, Performance and Trust objectives

  • Exchange best practices across regions and continuously improve effectiveness of technical toolkit application and associated capability build

  • Be an active member of

  • The Americas SC Leadership Team for the development and execution of short/long term strategy to optimize IPT delivery;

  • The Americas CMO Leadership Team.

  • Support due diligence for business development and network strategy activities in the Americas network.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering

  • 15+ years of experience leading technical teams across multiple geographical areas

  • Experience working within and being accountable for products in a FDA regulated market

  • Experience in internal network and CMO environment

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Execution of scale up, tech transfers, process validation projects

  • Development of technical teams in diverse cultural environment

  • Business acumen to drive continuous improvement in CMO environment

  • Experience developing/implementing long term strategy

  • Knowledge of the Materials supplier base.

  • Hands on experience in DoE, scale up projects

  • Demonstrated success in root cause analysis for complex manufacturing processes

  • Leadership experience in defining and executing capability build plans

  • Experience in evaluating ROI, preparing business cases and leading cost savings projects.

The salary range for this role is: $186,235 to $256,073 plus an 18% bonus.
