JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Multicultural Marketing is a seasoned marketing professional who can design programs to positively impact consumer growth through innovative marketing strategies, video services development and performance reporting for multicultural segments.Work in close partnership with sales and marketing organizations to develop and drive multicultural efforts to evolve Charter's share enterprise wide. Responsible for ensuring that marketing and sales efforts across the organization are aligned and executed to drive value and ROI.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support VP of Multicultural Marketing with the development and implementation of the multicultural plan and strategy targeted to Multicultural segments.

Strategize andrecommend marketing initiatives to drive year over year growth of the multicultural customer base.

Work with business intelligence reporting tools for executive presentations. Collaborate with cross functional groups to drive call volume and new customer growth.

Develop monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs Dashboards, call volume reports and Direct Marketing tactics results analysis

  • Analysis of sales and marketing efforts to inform/guide the organization in terms of competitiveness in the industry

Overseemanagement on new directions and challenges related to multicultural content and programming and identify networks for Charter to carry across multicultural segments, especially Asian consumers.

Lead creative strategy for go-to-market programs, working in concert with product management and integrated marketing teams.

Analyze both external and internal data, viewership ratings, performance data, researchdata to make decisions. Utilize MicroStrategy and Tableau for business intelligence reports.

Develop and maintainrelationships with programming networks, studios and other content providers.

Educate the organization regarding market trends with the multicultural consumer, unrealized potential, and the risk to the business if the Multicultural segment is not properly represented

Understanding of Direct Marketing function and ability to utilize program results and research to inform creative strategy and establish A/B tests across targeted tactics.

Mentor direct reports and actively find ways to grow and cultivate team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Experience with development of customer metrics and measurement tools (qualitative and quantitative)

Knowledge of program testing, tracking, profiling, targeting, metrics and analysis

Experience/knowledge of key Multicultural consumers: Hispanics, African American and Asian segments including Chinese, South Asians, and Korean, as well as Japanese and Filipino

Ability to be solutions-oriented thinker with a "can do" approach

Ability to think creatively and strategically

Education

BA or BS degree required in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field

Related Work Experience

  • 8+ years

Multicultural marketing Strategy development experience

Performance Analytics experience working with business intelligence reporting tools for executive presentations with senior leadership and C suite executives.

Must have experience using MicroStrategy and Tableau for business intelligence reports.

Industry experience in consumer technology or related industries

Direct Marketing experience in Acquisition, Upsell/Crossell and overseeing production

with major advertising campaigns, including TV, Direct Mail, Email and Digital

  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback in a constructive way

  • Knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and services (e.g., Cable/High Speed Internet/Telephone)

Education

Master's degree preferred

The Specialist is responsible for analyzing and reporting on customer and product growth for all Multicultural segments (Hispanic, African American and International), including performance measurement by product, sales channel, marketing campaigns and initiatives and key product metrics (e.g. penetration, churn/survival rates, tier and bundle performance). This person will leverage Charter's MicroStrategy-based BI environment and best-in-class data mining and data visualization tools to anlayze performance across all geographies and segments within Charter's diverse operating footprint. The role will contribute to Charter's success by ensuring business needs and goals are realized through proactive analysis by identifying and addressing Multicultural business opportunities and threats., following reporting solutions and established team processes and measurement protocols and ensuring data integrity and accuracy. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Oversees weekly and monthly tracking/reporting of Multicultural dashboard and reports. * Plan/oversee Asian Direct Marketing strategy for Direct Mail, Print and Digital tactics * Builds and maintains reporting/dashboard to monitor customer sales, additions, reductions by segment across the entire footprint and create market-level analysis of KPIs. * Provides leadership in defining business-critical analysis that drives the business forward * Maintains a strong understanding of various relational databases, provides guidance on multicultural flagging variables to enhance the multicultural universe * Works with cross functional teams to establish Multicultural household audits/cross examination of data flow among the various teams involved in managing MCM data and mantains a calendar of MCM data updates/refreshes * Ensures that consistent and accurate data queries/logic are being used when populating data pools and reports. Communicates data nuances and insights in a clear and concise manner * Presents data in a fashion that is easy to understand and highlight the most critical insights * Develops monthly dashboard and presentations for senior leadership meetings * Measures and tracks performance of multi-channel marketing campaigns, uses sophisticated analytic approaches and techniques to report call volume and response rate across mass media and target tactics * Monitors/reports growth in homes passed, analyzes market share growth opportunity and competitive threats by geography and product specific to multicultural groups * Reports/analyses performance of Sales Channels across footprint and by key market ( online, inbound sales, retail, care, retention, etc) * Using historic and overall company targets, develops annual forecasts REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and MicroStrategy * Hands-on experience developing and distributing business performance reports on a regular cadence * Knowledge of Asian programming/cultural behaviors is preferred * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Strategic thinker that is able to translate data into actionable business strategies. * Ability to think critically critical and tell stories with data * Possess the intellectual curiosity to work through ambiguity with a passion to solve business problems by use of actionable data and consumer insights * Prior experience and passion for interpreting and presenting data in addition to being able to summarize and synthesize data to inform business decisions. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/assignments in a fast paced environment * Experience working with one or many business intelligence platforms * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Knowledge of marketing and sales channel principles, techniques, and processes (preferred) * Tremendous attention to detail and ability to identify data anomalies based on trends * Knowledge of database concepts and SQL skills are a plus.
