CVS Health and Minute Clinic have established a variety of programs and offerings to support and collaborate with health care providers. This includes physician groups, hospitals, Clinically Integrated Networks (CINs), and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). In this role, reporting to the head of MinuteClinic Strategic Alliance and Virtual Care, you will be responsible for developing and balancing strategic collaborations with health systems driving improved financial and positive health care outcomes for our clients and their patients.

These strategic activities involve partnering with executives and Clinicians to understand their population health management needs and goals and meeting those needs through the employment of our best-in-class differentiated enterprise solutions with a focus on MinuteClinic.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • You will drive value for health systems, their patients and CVS Health through health system adoption of all CVS Health products and services

  • You will lead health system book of business consisting of evaluation of needs, solution prioritization, sales, financial forecasting and full execution against departmental goals.

  • You will collaborate effectively and achieve results with and through other people across the entire CVS Health enterprise including sales, marketing, clinical, IT, finance, legal and compliance.

  • You will contribute to ongoing innovations including all aspects of due diligence, serving as a catalyst for change and actively participating in our strategy to reinvent pharmacy.

  • You will be delivering technical discussions and progress reports related to physician EMRs, Surescripts, HIE interfaces and provider/pharmacy related technology.

We will consider remote candidates in which we do not have a hub locations present

Required Qualifications

You will have a minimum of 8 years' Project Management and Client Management experience within a Healthcare business or in a Clinical setting.

You will have computer experience with an emphasis on Excel and Powerpoint to interface with various teams/colleagues using a wide range of technologies including Accellion, Tableau, TAS Online, etc.

Ability to travel up to 50% required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Ambulatory Healthcare

Demonstrates outstanding presentation and communication skills, emotional intelligence, relationship-building skills, integrity and maturity.

Premier organizational skills.

Education

Bachelors required

Masters preferred

As CVS MinuteClinic continues to transform practice and serve as the front door to community-based health care, the Associate Chief Practitioner Officer will contribute to the continuous development of quality innovations in patient care delivery as well as the continued engagement and professional advancement of nurse practitioner, physician assistant and nursing practice within CVS MinuteClinic. This position is responsible for providing leadership and management, innovative strategic programming, and oversight for quality patient care delivery and clinic operations, clinical and operational education and training, professional practice, and workforce engagement for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and paraprofessionals who provide direct patient care within CVS MinuteClinic. As a key member of MinuteClinic's field leadership team, the ACPO will have responsibility for the following: * Lead excellence in clinical, operational, and direct-care workforce professional practice by developing, monitoring, and continuously improving programs and processes that facilitate empowerment and engagement of nursing and professional staff with an emphasis on professional growth, career development, colleague satisfaction, retention, and turn-over reduction programs, in accordance with ANCC Pathway to Excellence standards. * Lead organizational processes, administrative structures, and personnel that define the role responsibilities and provide on-boarding, training, employment management, and clinical/operational/administrative practice performance oversight for the MinuteClinic in-clinic paraprofessional workforce (RNs, LVN/LPNs, Medical Assistants, etc.). * Lead the establishment, implementation, and oversight of the CVS MinuteClinic Quality Improvement Program in collaboration with other Clinical leadership. This encompasses parameters for continuous quality improvement and patient safety including supervision of Joint Commission accreditation compliance, infection control, environment of care management, peer chart review, clinical incident process changes, and best practice implementation and review of new services. * Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the organization's education, training, and professional programs for clinical staff, sustaining a culture of lifelong learning in support of clinical excellence. * Partners with the CNPO in the formulation and implementation of strategies in support of working in partnership with professional academic institutions, provider and professional organizations, and legislative and accrediting bodies to advance the delivery of quality care and further the organization's strategic and operational goals. Required Qualifications * Minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant * Formal leadership experience at or above the Director-level leading other health care providers, preferably in a geographically-dispersed organization * Clinical acumen, experience, and ability to consult and make confident decisions on nursing issues and clinical practice undertakings * Demonstrated success in leading implementation of strategies in a complex organizational environment, leveraging collaborative relationships, influence, and direct oversight to accomplish goals * Experience in all or most of the following within a health care organization: education, professional development, quality improvement, continuous process improvement and management, strategic planning, team building, and clinical operations Preferred Qualifications * Experience in establishing and maintaining structures to support the delivery of evidence based clinical care in a quality manner * Experience innovating and leading change at the organizational level * Ability to office in corporate headquarters in Rhode Island preferred Education * Master's or Doctorate/PhD (preferred) level advanced practice nurse or physician assistant with board certification and Drug Enforcement Agency licensure * Advanced degree in business, education, health policy or public health (i.e. NEA-BC, MBA, MPP, MPH, or MHA) preferred * Current board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant * Active and unrestricted license to practice advanced nursing in the state of Rhode Island or Massachusetts (or ability to apply for a license) * Complies with MinuteClinic credentialing standards * Membership and participation in relevant national organizations that influence the national health care landscape preferred Business Overview It's a new day in health care.
