Director, MES Systems

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management and support of global Manufacturing Execution Systems across the Company. Major functions include the following: business engagement, applications design and development, QA, applications architecture

• Lead formulation of company business system architecture plans, assessing cost and feasibility of system requests and ensuring the plan supports both strategic and near-term needs

• Lead a diverse team to support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for High Volume Assembly and Fab production across all sites.

• Develop and maintain relationships with business partner organizations to ensure understand their business requirements, develop priorities, and manage their expectations

• Deliver applications excellence; highly scalable and reliable business applications, excellent customer service, efficient and agile operations, industry leading metrics

• Superior cross-functional relationships; ability to navigate in heavily matrixed organization; demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups

• Collaborate with business partners and IT peers to define service levels

• Educating the company's global business community of the various features and capabilities of MES, and expanding the general knowledge of MES within company

• Define well-articulated business objectives and key performance indicators (KPI) to measure MES effectiveness.

• Review and analyze existing applications' effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.

• Contributes to decisions on project and infrastructure needs, including the evaluation of languages, development tools, platforms, and frameworks.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Operations Research/Industrial Engineering.

• Experience in Shop Floor (Production, Quality, Maintenance, and/or Warehouse) and Advanced Process Control and Systems implementation in a manufacturing environment preferably in Fab and High Volume Assembly manufacturing

• 12+ years of experience implementing mission critical applications solutions using Microsoft technologies.

• Strong hands-on experience to MES technologies, including automated data collection, visualization, quality and efficiency in manufacturing

• Experience in integration of MES with PLC and ERP.

• Campstar upgrade experience is highly desired.

• Competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management successfully developed and implemented

• Excellent change management skills and ability to operate effectively in fast paced environment

• Excellent written, verbal, team and presentation skills

• Ability to mentor new technologies and champion ideas throughout the development organization.
