Job Summary
The Director of Medical Imaging is responsible for directing and managing the performance of all medical imaging services at Rapid City Hospital. This role will focus on planning, implementing, and controlling efficient and cost-effective processes to drive strong colleague engagement, exceptional service quality, and consistent delivery that meets our strategic plan. The role will oversee hospital medical imaging leaders to ensure strong colleague engagement, smooth and seamless execution of medical imaging performance and adherence to regulatory standards and compliance with company policies. He/she must deploy the resources and develop the goals to ensure employees understand the intent of the Strategic Plan / Operational Plan. He/she must pursue higher levels of organizational and human performance to include quality, productivity, and efficiency. He/she must ensure employees' well-being and develop employees' talents to adopt ideas, new processes, new technology, and new products to ensure successful innovation.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
Demonstrates a clear understanding of core business structures, systems, practices, trends and technologies within our current industry and of those in which we choose to compete in the future. Further understands or demonstrates understanding that high-performance work approaches are necessary to align the organization's efforts, as evidenced by improved customer relations' focus, quality initiatives, financial performance and operational performance.
Develop and execute operational strategies to achieve key results aligned with the overall objectives to ensure a return on the investment in colleagues, equipment, and supporting services. Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve service levels, quality, and operational efficiency. Monitor and evaluate operational performance indicators, taking corrective actions when necessary.
Provide strong leadership, fostering a high-performance culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Lead and develop leaders, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of colleagues in the field and those that support those colleagues.
Creates an environment in which people feel valued, respected and energized to explore new methods of doing business, generating revenue and taking calculated risks. Develops employees based on business requirements and ensures employees are competent to manage change.
Actively works to enhance revenue and reduce operating expenses by improving processes, products, services, customer service, and reduction in cycle time.
Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with process improvement colleagues to implement processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance operational processes.
Create and implement operational policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensures new ideas are adopted and implemented to continually support the Healthcare mission while successfully accomplishing those goals the organization must attain for its strategies to succeed. Ensures caregivers and providers share knowledge, understand decisions and the reasons why decisions are made and implemented.
Ensures employees understand customer-focused performance relative to measures and indicators of customers' perceptions, reactions, and behaviors; and creates measures and indicators of product and service characteristics that are important to customers (physicians, employees, department, and other organizations).
