Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
20 years of experience in business development
20 years of experience in the MediaCo industry
10 years of experience leading a team within an organization in an online or technology business
Preferred qualifications:
MBA, Master's degree, JD, or other relevant advanced degree
Experience in finance, corporate development, corporate strategy, or management consulting, with strong analytical skills
Experience presenting to senior leadership, externally and internally, with an executive presence
Ability to structure, analyze, and solve complex business problems, and deliver impact against concrete business goals
Ability to be a thought leader, think strategically, develop a vision, and inspire others to follow while effectively balancing short-term tactical and long-term strategic goals as a general manager
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
About the job
As Director, Head of Media and Sports Partner Activation Team, you will own the performance of studio and sports leagues across AVOD, TVOD, FAST, PPV, Primetime Channels, and YouTube TV. You will develop cross-functional strategies for critical cross-platform initiatives that have a material impact on the media and sports businesses (e.g. AI). You will have direct oversight of execution of internal policies, complex issue resolution, and partner management for studio and sports partners in close collaboration with regional leaders in AMER, APAC, and EMEA to collectively deliver upon global priorities. You will utilize strategic thought leadership, people skills, cross-functional collaboration, partner and team management skills, execution, and an understanding of the dynamics of the Media and Sports industries.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Oversee identification, analysis and execution of key policies and partner guardrails/frameworks for YouTube's AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, PPV, FAST, and PayTV services.
Develop YouTubes's outlook on critical MediaCo and Sports League partnership initiatives, such as AI. Leverage industry experience to identify opportunities, risks, and needs to inform business processes, partnerships, and product roadmaps.
Build, manage, and develop a high performing, diverse team that drives the success of YouTube's Global MediaCo partnerships, while fostering a culture that encourages creative thinking and risk taking.
Partner with and align executive stakeholders across a diverse geographic and functional landscape, including product, marketing, sales, legal, and external partner executives.
Serve as thought leader and representative of YouTube with partners internally and externally, and be a representative of the partner to the global team internally.
