The Role

This role has key responsibilities to maintain the global reporting financial structure requirements of McKesson Corporation for the reporting hierarchies within various reporting systems. In this role, you lead and support the governance of reporting & intercompany policy Company-wide. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Global Close and Consolidation.


  • Provides oversight over McKesson's governance of global financial reporting hierarchies and processes throughout reporting systems

  • Directly manages the review, approval and submission process for global financial reporting hierarchy changes with final approval for legal entity, segment and statutory changes

  • Conducts and supports close & consolidation projects related to acquisitions, divestitures and other business transactions & activities

  • Drives continuous process improvement for financial master data structure and process

  • Partners with other key Corporate stakeholders, such as Tax & Treasury, on the administration of the Company's global intercompany transactions, including transfer pricing, intercompany loans and investment/equity contributions.

  • Ensures the accuracy of McKesson's consolidated financial statements, as well as segment, legal entity, and statutory reporting aligns properly

  • Participates in the ongoing development, monitoring and optimization of McKesson's intercompany policies and processes toward standardization, business process improvement and implementation of a robust internal control framework

  • Supports analysis and execution of data and systems transformation projects as needed and ad hoc request for key internal stakeholders

  • Hires, leads, coaches, and develops A+ accounting staff to maximize effectiveness and productivity, while cultivating future leaders and business partners

Required Experience & Education

  • Typically requires 13+ years of accounting experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field

  • Certified Public Accountant, or equivalent work experience

Critical Skills

  • Strong understanding, as well as knowledge of data and mappings from various ERP systems

  • Extensive experience with multicurrency consolidations and eliminations

  • Strong technical background and familiarity with reporting requirements for external, legal entity, statutory and tax/jurisdictional needs

  • Strong working knowledge of systems (e.g. SAP, HFM, etc) and consolidations of entities across multiple ERP systems.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage, and prioritize various responsibilities

  • Strong systems skills (e.g. SAP, HFM, etc)

We are looking for an experienced HR Analytics and Master Data Management Director within our service delivery center to join our team in our Atlanta office. The focus for this People Leader will be to drive the increased use of industry wide master data management best practices, advanced data analytics, emerging automation technology opportunities and harmonized reporting data across Delta. This role will enable HR data intelligence and achieve HR data excellence. The expectation for this role is to bring critical emerging technology capabilities in data, analytics, and machine learning to enable the ability to consume, utilize, and report driving key insights across Delta. Primary Functions: Create a community of practice which includes Stakeholders from across the functions and business to bring world class capabilities in data gathering, security, permissions, and application. Drive and optimize programs for HR data collection, maintenance, and reporting while demonstrating a strong understanding of the various systems that house HR data as well as the integration between those systems. Partner with functional HR leaders to understand business challenges, predict business needs, and develop workforce insights, providing a cohesive Function which enables a one-stop shop for HR reporting and analytics. Provide strategic guidance to build a capability within HRSD of automation and machine learning implementation, seeking ways to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting. Implement new and technology enabled ways to gather information and analyze, interpret, and summarize data to deliver strategic business insights. Develop standards and packaged deliverables for Delta operational reporting with the impact and insights delivered for appropriate levels of the organization. Deliver multiple data views and reporting based on audience level. Partner with the HRIS and IT teams to continuously look for process improvements in processes to effectively support business operations and end-user needs. Closely work with all HRSD functions (such as Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting & Onboarding) and Identity Management Leaders to provide needed data, analytics, and support in automation as an internal consultant. Responsible for continuously building and managing business relationships with customers and various stakeholders, while implementing processes to achieve high levels of customer service. Prepare and manage departmental budgets and expenses, responsible for delivery projects and programs on time and within budget. Develops both strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety & well-being. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business, technology, or equivalent with at least 10+ years of work experience. Must have experience with selection, implementation and management of HR technologies, vendor management, HR data management and HR analytics, complex project management and people management. Experience in enterprise-wide reporting including historic trend analysis, real-time data dashboards, and future predictive analytics. Requires the proficiency level of an experienced leader with significant work experience and demonstrated successes, typically attained with a minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility, preferably in a global company and/or highly matrixed organization, in related areas including vendor management, systems and applications management, data analytics, organizing and leading project work, selection and implementation of technology. Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, set priorities, allocate resources and manage several complex projects simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment to deliver on time and within budget. Strong functional HR process and practice acumen and technical aptitude. Fluency in emerging legal and client related data privacy, identity, and access management.
