About Us:
BYU Continuing Education provides lifelong learners with experiences that fulfill the Mission and Aims of a BYU Education. Last year we served over 275,000 participants and students from age 4 to 104+ with online and in-person events, programs, and classes.
Director of Continuing Education Marketing and Outreach
The Director has executive responsibility for marketing and outreach within BYU Continuing Education (CE). This includes increasing awareness, reach, and impact of BYU CE programs and offerings, resulting in increased registrations from new and existing participants. The Director oversees CE's strategic marketing, marketing logistics, and outreach teams. The Director has and maintains expertise in formulating and executing marketing and outreach strategy, delivering on time and within budget. The Director ensures the operational processes for these services support and align with BYU and CE culture, policies, and procedures.
What you'll do in this position:
Executive responsibilities:
Serve on and advise CE's leadership councils.
Establish marketing and outreach to support CE objectives, define and track key performance indicators, establish budgets, and run effective and efficient processes.
Maintain awareness of major customer-impacting laws, regulations, and policies; prepare action and response plans to address challenges with consideration for strategic, pedagogical, political, and economic factors.
Oversee marketing and outreach organization:
Lead team of marketing and outreach professionals to increase awareness of, reach of, and participation in CE program offerings.
Ensure ongoing development of team skills and improvement of marketing and outreach teams:
Senior management support:
Provide expertise to support marketing team and peer directors in formulating product, service, and program strategic marketing and outreach plans that effectively reach and influence target audiences to participate in CE products and programs.
Utilize market and outreach campaign performance data to plan and respond to opportunities to increase awareness, reach, and impact.
Advise on analysis of program objectives and target participant characteristics to collaborate on plan to achieve registration targets and set outreach budgets.
Oversee allocation of internal and external resources to execute plan on time and within budget.
Support evaluation of plans in progress to refine plans and adjust forecasts throughout the fiscal year, respond with initiatives to meet or exceed targets.
Counsel on review of past program reach and outreach plan execution to document and share continual improvement opportunities.
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
Preferred
15 years of significant marketing/sales experience.
5 years management experience.
Experience in education field.
