Job Description

Director, Promotional Materials Management

Specific Job Requirements

  • Responsible for the Promotional Materials Management team (PMM), which scope includes end-to-end materials management for the US Commercial Organization

  • Teams include: Agency Management, Promotional Review Committee (PRC) Operations, Editorial, Print Production, Materials Management and Vendor Management

  • Oversees and shapes the PMM strategy, operational responsibilities and compliance perspectives

  • Responsible for support of major sales meetings, conferences and other events aligned to NA Commercial organization

  • Oversees strategic planning, team development, workflow modifications, and updating operations guidelines and policies.

  • Develops policies and procedures for the team and is responsible for the implementation of any changes.

  • Oversees efforts to negotiate new contracts for major vendors.

  • Accountable for internal policies and SOPs related to PMM

  • Oversees efforts to develop and execute training for PMM team members.

  • Oversees the implementation of relevant technology related to PMM with an effort to automate processes where possible.

  • Develops and implements cross-training and knowledge sharing programs within internal group and across other departments.

  • Provides coaching and knowledge sharing to team for development of management and technical skills.

  • Develops solutions to complex problems, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.

  • Manages/oversees projects from start to completion, including implementation planning, through rigorous application of sound project management practices

  • Measures the impact of initiatives through: surveys, feedback and analytics

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, to lead change, and to lead and mentor others are required.

  • Must have a strong executive presence with ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making.

  • Must be skilled at navigating a matrix organization and collaborating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders to include executive leadership

  • Excellent management skills to be able to conduct training, performance management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, recruitment and selection, meeting management and plan execution are a must.

  • Excellent communication skills with a well developed ability to efficiently and productively communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities including budgeting and actual spend against budget is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to seek information to inform problem scope, frame the problem/issue and develop solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively select vendor partners, provide direction and hold them accountable for results

Minimum Experience

  • 10+ years of related experience and a BS or BA degree

  • Successful people management experience is required.

  • Specific operations experience related to the role is required

  • Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry required

The Director of Product Marketing Analysis is a new role at Visa created to bring a best-in-class analytics and data ecosystem to our Global Product Marketing organization. You will be responsible for Visa's product and B2B marketing data, insights, and analysis. You will use data sourced from Visa's internal systems, CRM systems, and from native systems of other marketing channels such as email, digital, social, partners, and events to drive decision making. You will lead deep-dive insights extraction and data visualization work streams that will be shared across Visa's marketing and product organizations at all levels and geographies globally. You will work closely with technology teams to transform business and data insight delivery and integration to a new level, improving the Product Marketing organization's ability to track and optimize performance with key audiences in order to deliver on objectives such as awareness, preference, engagement, and adoption. The majority of your time will be spent leading the analysis and diagnosis of product marketing performance. You will monitor trends in KPIs and performance drivers and translate those data into actionable insights and recommendations. You will work closely with the Product Marketing team to increase our understanding of what tactics work and don't work, with a strong point of view on how strategies should evolve going forward. Responsibilities * You will manage performance reporting and marketing intelligence for the Product Marketing organization * You will build and deliver a suite of reports and dashboards that clearly portray the impact of product marketing across all global product portfolios, linking efforts to business outcomes * You will bring consistency to reporting by leading rigorous data processes to aid in the automation of KPI reporting, dashboards, and other ad hoc reports * You will serve as a subject matter expert on advanced technologies that relate to B2B marketing data management and insights extraction by staying abreast of best practices and new applications.
