Summary of Job:

The Director, Market Expansion Rare Disease is responsible for the creation and implementation of product strategy and promotional activities designed to shorten the diagnostic journey of patients with X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH) and Tumor Induced Osteomalacia (TIO). This includes utilizing data and market knowledge to identify and initiate optimal approaches to patient identification and referral to appropriate HCPs.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the development and execution of strategies to overcome barriers to timely diagnosis for XLH and TIO patients.

  • Partners with Medical Affairs, Omnichannel Center of Excellence and Analytics to develop and test accurate algorithms to identify undiagnosed and misdiagnosed patients with XLH or TIO.

  • Collaborates with Analytics and Commercial Operations to ensure appropriate dissemination of leads generated through patient identification algorithms.

  • Partners with HCP and Patient Marketing team members to develop approaches and tools to support HCPs in diagnosing XLH and TIO patients, even in the absence of classic disease markers.

  • Collaborates with Patient Services and Patient Advocacy to identify and address key areas of need within the diagnostic journey for patients and caregivers.

  • Establishes KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize outcomes.

  • Liaises with Sales Management to identify field training gaps; develops and implements plans to close gaps.

  • Utilizes Field Advisory Teams to collect input on tactics, performance, opportunities, and challenges, as well as test materials.

  • Ensures a productive and cost-effective relationship with external agencies and partners.

  • Ensures key activities are managed effectively achieving KPIs on time and on budget.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus

Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of pharmaceutical marketing (preferably rare disease)

  • Understanding of lead generation process and experience in AI modeling

  • Proven business acumen (e.g. business degree, MBA, or previous role(s) proving business acumen development)

  • Strong organizational, managerial and leadership skills (including influence without formal authority)

  • Excellent social competencies and ability to work in a highly matrixed organization effectively and efficiently.

  • Excellent communication skills and strong ability to build and cultivate internal and external networks.

  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills

  • Strong operational skills and project/ timeline management capabilities

Physical Demands: Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work. Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions: Requires up to 20% domestic and international travel
