Wilsonart currently has an opening for an Director, Manufacturing for our Temple, TX manufacturing facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, and meet company objectives.
Operational Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.
Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing rigorous quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize inventory management, procurement, and logistics, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
Safety and Compliance: Establish and enforce safety protocols and compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving initiatives where possible.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop manufacturing personnel, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment of manufacturing operations with overall company goals.
Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of manufacturing operations, regularly reporting on performance, and making adjustments as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proven ability to lead large, complex, dynamic manufacturing organizations of more than 250+ people.
Proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results. Equally effective in communicating from the Executive Team to the shop floor.
Proven ability to drive organizational change and build a Winning Culture
Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external partners.
Solid understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree Required in Engineering, Operations Management, or other closely related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted. Master's Degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills.
Statistical and analytical problem-solving.
Demonstrated history of growing and developing direct reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb, or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
ENVIRONMENT:
Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises, and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
